stuartbert two hats
Can't wait for people in Arcadia on Saturday night to complain about the sound bleed from Mogwai melting face nextdoor.

Badlands
No live acts then? Will it be the same setup as last year in terms of having the sound inwards?
thesecretingredientiscrime
It'll be Skrillex

kalifire
I haven't heard of nearly any of those acts. Looking forward to discovering new stuff!
marketh
No 2manydjs again. I guess they really aren't playing this year. Thought they would be on somewhere with them doing other festivals this summer. Edited May 16, 2014 by marketh
Tuna
That'd be odd, because you can't normally barely hear the Park Stage from the entrance to the area called "The Park"
WS_Jack_III
Sadly yea. Barring one or two exceptions, it seems it's all DnB, deep house, dubstep and EDM nonsense again this year. I'm just praying the Beat Hotel and the Stonebridge bar lineups are gonna save the dance side of it for me as other than Jackmaster, Four Tet, Eats Everything and Seth Troxler, there's nothing I want to see. Badlands
I reckon the sound will fire out from which ever side is facing away from The Park. Don't think it'll be as restricted (thats why it's been given its own field) to really make the most out of the stage after last years criticisms. Apparently it's felt like a refugee since it left Trash City.

Rumblestripe
Craig Charles should be excellent. That big hand looks fun too. And all powered by Cow Fart. What's not to like?
cornish hick
I saw Gentleman's Dub Club on Arcadia in 2011, I think it was around the same time Beyonce was on The Pyramid. They were very entertaining and have self confirmed they are at Glastonbury this year so may be back on Arcadia. The actual show itself is always impressive but after 15 minutes or so it gets a bit samey. Well worth checking out if you've not seen it before but once you've seen it, I don't think there's anything to drag you back if you're not a dance music fan. I believe *adjusts cravat, ready to reveal new found dance knowledge* there may be EDM!

Homer
In the afternoon I imagine (he did a marathon set on the Sunday on the Hell Stage or something similar last year I believe). May be showing my age but not chuffed with that line-up. Last year's Sunday was crazy with the Plump DJs and Ratpack/Baby D. Would have been nice to have something similar - i.e. Stantons and Altern-8. Basically, a bit of breaks and a bit of rave. Anyone know what Jackmaster is normally like? I accidentally caught him at 5am in The Temple on the Monday morning last year and it was brilliant. Finished the fest off with Love is in the Air, I've Had the Time of My Life and finally Give It Up. Can't imagine him doing similar on the Spider, but if he does then I'm def in!
