Whilst I don't think he's a world beater, neither are the likes of the Ox and Lallana. Actually I forgot about Lallana, so throw him into the options I mentioned above.

None of them are world beaters, but some I put on a slightly higher level because I feel they deliver slightly more than some others.

I'd put the Ox and Lallana and Lambert and (now) Sterling that slightly higher level. Perhaps even Welbeck too.

Barkley I wouldn't. While he wasn't as anonymous as Rooney mostly was, I'm struggling to feel that he's actually achieving much for the team.

Having said that, I know if he does pull a rabbit out of the hat it'll quite possibly be one of the most stunning goals of the tournament (tho that probably goes for Rooney too ;)).

Its always nice to see Ronaldo not have such a smug smile on his face :P Hard to say if it was Portugal making Germany look good or Germany making Portugal look terrible.

Well done to Iran in getting a bore draw, defended well actually even if they didn't risk anything. Can't blame them for it!

Enjoying the Ghana/USA game atm, that boot Dempsey took ouch!!! (and a great goal of course)

I wrote Germany off before the tournament because of their questionable choice of strikers, but how awesome was Muller in the number nine role today? I love watching German football, such beautiful passing but so much more direct and aggressive than in Spain.

I had to turn the BBC commentary off during the England game (switched to R5 with the red button). Phil Neville's voice was like a portal into an infinite void of nothingness.

Turns out they may be dropping him from the commentary team now...

Phil Neville is no worse than most of the pundits and commentators on the BBC. Definitely no worse than the excitement sponge that is Alan Shearer. He does sound like he's trying to be his older brother though, and it doesn't work because Big G Nev Dogg is the GOAT pundit/commentator.

Loved Robbie Savage tonight. Doesn't hold back, that man, it's good to have someone who speaks their mind doing commentary.
