The 38 year old virgin
So based on this thread so far, I think the odds are something like this Klaxons 3/1 Libertines 5/1 Coldplay 6/1 Ricky Gervais 7/1 Pet Shop Boys 10/
morph100
Noel's high flying birds 10/1 ( I know he is attending the festival not sure about his band)
smytho15
I would love it to be the pouges. However has any one considered the logistics of getting Shane McGowan on stage for 11am.
A Guy Called Matt
Based on nothing but his own record label and the words on t-shirts it will be Pharell. ""I am Other"" - well if he says so it must be true.

jpeee
Obviously it's the New Radicals I'd like to see the odds on that!

A Guy Called Matt
The Pogues with help from the Libertines in practice for BST the following week.
neilloggie
Mcbusted. I could genuinely see this.
Purple aki squat
I think they are playing in Scarborough on that day.
mattgimmeshelter
In my opinion it's either Damon Albarn or Coldplay probably Damon, but coldplay wouldn't surprise me.

mattgimmeshelter
Damon's playing elsewhere on the Friday so it won't be him. i guess it could be Coldplay - definitely a band who i imagine would be up for doing such a set
roughbloke
Coldplay or The Kooks for me! Would be happy with both!
CaledonianGonzo
The difference in crowd size at the start and end of The Kooks set would be so humiliating for everyone concerned that even if they're offered it they shouldn't touch it with a bargepole. neilloggie
I am in 2 minds whether i should/shouldn't go this year. If i found out later it was The Pogues i would be devastated.
dentalplan
they'd be a shocking choice but i think you'd be surprised by the amount of people who stuck around for it. baffles me that there's still interest in them but when they played Liverpool Sound City a couple of weeks back there were apparently queues down the road to get into the venue and hundreds of people got turned away Edited May 25, 2014 by dentalplan
Englishdragon
I honestly cant see it being anything other than The Libertines. Week before their big comback show, they have already said they will be doing a frew small warm up gigs. Only downside is getting either of them up for a 11am slot
drewsstrat
Its also a disincentive for me to get up and out only to watch said 'shambles/libertines' At least we know David Brent is taking the p on purpose Edited May 25, 2014 by drewsstrat
Mardy
if it ends up being the libertines, I'll be absolutely delighted. Can't really believe for a moment it will be, but I live in hope
Bradders
It definitely will not be the Klaxons. Seriously, they've been so forgotten there is no chance at all anyone would book them as a "special guest" in a slot they're barely big enough to occupy as a regular booking. This is not a matter of my taste btw, it's a matter of their popularity. If you want odds, I'd say: Coldplay - 2/1 Damon Albarn - 5/1 The Libertines - 5/1 Pet Shop Boys - 5/1 The Pogues - 20/1 Klaxons - 1000/1 Everyone else mentioned is a random shot in the dark and very unlikely.
