Damon's playing elsewhere on the Friday so it won't be him. i guess it could be Coldplay - definitely a band who i imagine would be up for doing such a set

I am in 2 minds whether i should/shouldn't go this year.

If i found out later it was The Pogues i would be devastated.

they'd be a shocking choice but i think you'd be surprised by the amount of people who stuck around for it. baffles me that there's still interest in them but when they played Liverpool Sound City a couple of weeks back there were apparently queues down the road to get into the venue and hundreds of people got turned away

I honestly cant see it being anything other than The Libertines.

Week before their big comback show, they have already said they will be doing a frew small warm up gigs.

Only downside is getting either of them up for a 11am slot

Its also a disincentive for me to get up and out only to watch said 'shambles/libertines'

It definitely will not be the Klaxons.

Seriously, they've been so forgotten there is no chance at all anyone would book them as a "special guest" in a slot they're barely big enough to occupy as a regular booking. This is not a matter of my taste btw, it's a matter of their popularity.

If you want odds, I'd say:

Coldplay - 2/1

Damon Albarn - 5/1

The Libertines - 5/1

Pet Shop Boys - 5/1

The Pogues - 20/1

Klaxons - 1000/1

Everyone else mentioned is a random shot in the dark and very unlikely.
