Friday other stage opener

Dunno about recently, but when Mick Fleetwood was being discussed it went along the lines of 'Mick Fleetwood appearing in 2014 would almost guarantee Fleetwood Mac for 2015'.

It may well be that Mick Fleetwood just doesn't want to/can't play this year and FM are still on for 2015. Alternatively, they've been put off the idea of Glastonbury all together.

Ok James playing Bingley maybe wasn't the best example. But still, if a big "James" banner drops down the back of the stage, the majority of the crowd* will say "who?" and continue thinking that until they play Sit Down. They're not a special guest type of band.

*at least my age group, mid-twenties and below

I'd like it to be Belle and Sebastian. Their tour dates fit perfectly, but unfortunately they're not a household name either.

Stage times are out now and the Other Stage opener is only down to do 45 minutes. Random thought - could it be Ricky Gervais as David Brent and his band? I ask because I know he was rumoured a few months back and their show is about 40 minutes long ...

If I never hear "why does it always rain on me " again it will be too soon. Radio murdered that song then gave it a good flogging.

I can still remember the shitty job I was doing at the time listening to that song be played about 50 times a day.

Well that Other Stage slot has been given the least time of all so I can't imagine it will be anything big. Might be Klaxons after all.

The TBA on John Peel however has been given 55 minutes, whereas the acts before have 30 and 40 minutes. That's probably worth following more now.

I'm not sure if anyones mentioned them yet but the klaxons have to be in with a reasonable shout, they're around that level of popularity
