FloorFiller
I don't think using the second most common word in the English language is selectively hinting at Beady Eye. Edited June 21, 2014 by FloorFiller
dentalplan
yeah i thought that people's interpretation of that was a bit over the top. maybe it was a hint... but if so a pretty silly one edit: unless they highlighted / capitaled the word 'be'. i can't remember. did they? FloorFiller
just read back to when the Beady Eye rumour began and it was Gordon Smart in The Sun who gave the initial nod to it being them and then Liam G tweeted 'Friday 11am. BE there or BE square'. was that all we had or was there something in the fineguide as well?

bocumaroy
Really? A small sample size I know but as an 18 year old literally no one I know listens to Suede, most couldn't tell you who they are at all. Bradders
Lorde's probably doing one of the BBC Introducing secret sets. Broadcast live on Radio 1, unlike the Other Stage slot. 12:15 Friday on BBC Introducing is my guess for Lorde.
alexmckenzie
Rip roaring? Biffy prehaps? Starting to think it can't be Coldplay with that description
st dan
I've always wondered why would bands play the unannounced secret set on the Other Stage? Is it bands warming up for some upcoming gigs? Bands that didn't get asked to play but wanted to? Bands that just love the festival? What is the advantage to bands of playing the slot? Porcelina
For Beady Eye it was the knowledge that people would turn up. Also looking at Kings of Leon's tour dates, I think it's conceivable it could be them. Edited June 22, 2014 by Porcelina

hoils
Not mention of The Pogues in the last few pages. Playing Bristol on the Friday night, most certainly have roared the rip live. Can't see Shane being at his best at 11am though.

Staffy
Don't know if this interview has been mentioned: http://www.theguardian.com/music/2014/apr/25/libertines-reunite-hyde-park-pete-doherty-carl-barat "I'm not saying that I'm not open to us doing more shows, that could be a great thing, and who knows how it will feel once we're all back together" he said. "I'd love to play Glastonbury as a warm up but logistically it might be a bit difficult to get all of us there – though we do have a couple of warm up shows planned in different cities." GeoHall
This thread is 99 pages long and we dont know who the act is still so do you not think we have literally mentioned and gone through the obvious.... Coldplay, the libertines, the courteeners, and klaxons are mentioned every other post.
