Great work Paul. Been following your progress. Just in case it helps ( as you know I`m forever in your debt :) ) a mate of mine had their van in at a wee place in Coylton who specialise in roof racks. They designed and built him a contraption to get canoes up on to the roof and they were very reasonable. I can see you have loads of room but just in case you could use the space up top for your work etc. He reckons these fellas are the business. Hope you have a great summer and enjoy the fruits of your Labour mate.

Pretty much finished inside now, couple small jobs to do but the van can be used next weekend up at Brew @ The Bog

Few before and after photos, quite pleased on how it has turned out.

Around £3900 including the van at £750, but made about £700 back in selling parts.

That was including buying a few power tools and the high cost items such as the Solar panels, Boiler, Smev Sink/Hob, Shower Mixer, TV, all the 12V electrics plus getting a joiner to build the partition/shower frame.

So about £2.5k all in, more than I had planned to spend but I didn't initially plan on Solar/TV/Smev so can't complain as it's pretty much all new parts.

That's a great figure really when you consider it had less than 12K miles on the clock and that you have fitted it out to your own high specification. Now you have the liberty to go anywhere you want whenever you want and don't have to camp or pay hotel fees. OK, you might have to pay for electrical hook ups on camp sites everynow and again but these are only small amounts. Really chuft for you Paul.

Cheers guys :)

Yeah it's sitting at just over 14k miles still. Was in the engine today checking oil/water etc and some parts of it still look new.

From what I have seen underneath it, it's solid. It's never had any welding done to it, and has actually only ever failed one MOT in it's history (you can check online) and that was for a headlight issue!

All going well, if I look after it I reckon I will get 10 years out of it, and that would be a good return.

It's all packed and ready to go for its first trip tomorrow.

Off up via Loch Lomond to Crianlarich then up to Glencoe for an overnight stop and a few ciders in a pub.

Then on Friday its up via Fort William and Fort Augustus on to Inverness for lunch, some shopping then to Brew At The Bog festival till Monday.

This is a small test run before I head to Bearded Theory on the 14th for 2 weeks in it, so if any issues arise I can get them sorted before then!
