theramm
Pretty much every single band in that list of 4th down bands are bigger than Clutch btw. No they're not?? I've seen most of those bands in the same venues Clutch played on their last tour.
Chavmeisterdeluxe
Young Guns announced a tour with the Sunday open so could slot in somewhere. Apocolyptica have been added to the poster without an announcement. First (at the mo) on 2nd stage Saturday.
rivalschools.price
No they're not?? I've seen most of those bands in the same venues Clutch played on their last tour. Some of the bands at a smaller than Clutch. Some are bigger tahnClutch now but they weren't at the time. None of them are better than Clucth IMO so I'm a happy man. lightning1000
True, although this year I'd say both rise against and Billy idol are bigger than clutch.
SOAD
Clutch will be awesome but definitely a small fourth imo... Wouldn't say there has been a smaller or equal sized fourth since 06... excluding 36 Crazyfists in 2010 but that was an odd day as they were second from bottom as well. theramm
Reckon this announcement will be a big one. With R&L dropping the price of their day tickets to £59 things are going to get interesting....

Moey
Are we to expect some decent bands tomorrow? Was thinking that they would've scooped up some of the bands from Soni, however I'm not hopeful. Not sure where they'd fit on the bill. Although I quite like the idea of getting a big(ish) band to open the main stage. People were talking about Royal Blood a while ago. Anything with Alice Cooper and ZZ Top would be welcome..... lightning1000
Nobody that big. I'd expect halestorm maybe? Probably Billy talent too now they've not been announced for Leeds.
thejimbola
I think we can eliminate anyone announced for Reading, so Cancer Bats, Gojira, Mastodon, While She Sleeps etc. won't be at Download. I wonder if Papa Roach will be in there, as they are touring here now and the tour is about 95% sold out based on what they have said. Also touring at the moment are Less Than Jake who haven't played for ages and Europe (Sunday main stage?) Hoping for Black Spiders and Turbonegro as well. Don't think there are any slots that can accommodate Royal Blood. They're exclusives for R+L anyway. Hoping for Papa Roach.

theramm
The fact people were still expecting big names despite all the big slots getting filled was frankly silly. The penny should've dropped when Thunder were suddely made a logo band.
atomised
I expected little to be honest and they've delivered. I think it looks a very top heavy line up this year
