That's a damn decent announcement. FFAF are really low though, I wouldn't have expected them to be second on.

It shows how much they have decreased in popularity which is a shame

Oh and my thoughts, the line up has gone from decent to fantastic, pretty much have something i'd wanna watch all the day every day now.

Very happy with Lacuna Coil taking that main stage slot on Friday.

When I saw Lacuna Coil I thought they are going to play Friday which now gives me two acts I'd bother with Friday. In all fairness though I'd rather they were in a tent or on a smaller stage. Just a Saturday ticket for me I think.

Some really great announcements... although feel a bit sorry for FFAF who surely deserve a better slot than that. I'm not talking like way up the lineup but something that is more than 30 minutes or so on stage.
Otherwise was a bit annoyed with Hey! Hello! being moved to headlining Saturday fourth but to be fair as long as they don't clash with Marilyn Manson that'll be a great way to finish the day... would have liked to see Muse but the new stuff does not appeal.
Fidlar is a HUGE addition for me but think they would have done better on one of the bigger stages. They were incredible on NME stage at Reading.

Otherwise there are some wonderful bands like Carcass and Suicidal Tendencies but I fear they're gonna give me big clashes.

Otherwise think we have a second stage act each for Saturday and Sunday (Something like Young Guns would be great just before Eagles of Death Metal on Sunday). Then all will be left to do is finish up the lower stages.

Not unless you're deep into a heavy heavy act you won't. Some big crushes which you get at normal gigs, you'll be fine.

Seriously? They haven't even announced the acoustic stage yet :S Unless that isn't coming back this year. Although not sure if that happened last year as wasn't there.

Plus compared to last year there are like 8 acts missing for third stage. Seems a lot to have as secret... either that or third stage sets will be longer this year

No acoustic stage. They're doing something called the dog's bed stage instead. No idea what that's all about (?)

I'm gutted about the acoustic stage. Was a cool little corner of the festival to chill for a bit.

I'll be honest, as much as I don't agree with certain aspects of the festival, it is a good crowd there than seem to care for each other. I'd certainly be more worried nowadays about being deep into a Reading or Leeds crowd.

Everyone complained about the short set times on 3rd last year. So now there are less bands with longer sets. It's impossible to please everyone

Confirmed there will be less acts and they'll get longer slots.

Also yeah Acoustic Stage has gone, Jager are no longer at the festival and it was their set up.

Red Bull also pulled sponsorship of 4th stage and Pepsi pulled sponsorship of 3rd stage.

Although apparently 3rd and 4th stage have had new sponsors for some time but they can't announce them yet, which seems daft, surely they would want to be on the posters.

The Dogs Bed stage is just the stage where the instruments are there and you can go and have a jam isn't it? Pretty sure it is.

Andy has said Jager stage will be replaced by something TBA.

Theres 3 secret sets to be announced. Well 2 defo, and 1 more looking likely.

Looking at the line up I'm very fearful for a Bodycount and Faith No More clash, I hope it doesn't come to that though. I'd probably see Faith No More but be very annoyed at missing Bodycount.

I think faith no more clash with the last half of bodycount and the first half of Andrew wk. So my Sat night looks like first half of faith no more, Andrew wk, Marilyn Manson, last hour of muse. Not bad.

Wont Muse only get like 30 mins at R1BW? I don't know much about it but thought theres loads of acts and they get really small sets.

And Saturday at Download is great. I actually think its a pretty strong line up throughout now, Friday has been beefed up with Lacuna Coil and one more to come that day.

Sunday is lacking a little something lower down the bill, that old school act that would really give it that extra something.
