I'm not quite so confident, especially if we progress any further in the Europa. Hope you are right, but 99% of city fans would see 15th as a successful season.

I think everyone's ignoring the Europa League factor and forgetting second season syndrome. I expect narrowly avoiding relegation.

All very odd that,I hope its just down to us thinking we was going to get Connor Wickham and nothing else. That said Sakho seems keen to come and said his been training and is fit. so thats a plus on most of our signings.

Only if they think the player might come good and they can sell them on for a huge fee is my impression.

From interviews, Sulivan's main gripe with Big Sam seems to be lack of money made back on any transfer fee

Great start to the season.

I just have to say though, the man utd 'fans' leaving early and saying 'bring back moyes' do annoy me. Yes, they should have given him more time, but they have lvg and should stick with him. With some more signings and a bit of luck, I'm sure he can get them up to sixth.

Maybe even fifth#daretodream.

I didn't want to say before the final whistle because I thought I might end up eating my words. But what on earth is that back 3 United put out today? It's horrendous, can't believe they haven't signed 2 centre halves. I'm sure they will before the window ends though.

Man utd won't be getting 5th with the current squad. Herrera is decent, but won't transform a team. It's been a poor transfer window so far, with the glazers the main beneficiaries. While Liverpool have lost a top player and brought in some less than exciting players, its not clear who they could get that's better. Man utd will be linked with everyone and probably get very little.

There are sometimes funny results on opening day, it's hard to make judgements untill the squads are known on deadline day. Its hard to see man utd doing much without reinforcements.

The two lads were worming their way out of earlier predictions prior to kick off. Not that either of those bakers matters a toss - but it was interesting nonetheless.
