The only thing that takes my pain away is Man Utd losing to :D (Except it did fuck up my 50p accumulator fairly early on :P)

93rd minute and Adrian decides its a good idea to boot the ball to a Spurs player yet again ffs!!! Deserved at last a draw as we had them beat apart from the finishing. Just one of those days, when Mark Noble misses a penalty you know luck isn't on your side!

I'd be worried if I was a Spurs fan very worried!

This fella had a good game though:

Is this Adrian chap really better than Jaaskelainen? I know he replaced him during last season, but I haven't ever seen anything that might suggest why (although admittedly I haven't watched a full West Ham game since he's been in the first team).

Head and shoulders above Jussi. He actually attempts to make saves from opposition free kicks for a start.

Jussi might well have been good in years gone by, he very definitely isn't now.

Fair enough. Adrian just doesn't appear to be very good either though.

His a bit flappy, prone to the odd mistake but I'd say yeah better than Jussi now days. If anything I'd say it might be confidence thing with him. Popular with fans though, so it keeps them off Sam's back over one thing position at least :P

Hi mate, why would you be worried as a Spurs fan?

After having the best part of half the match playing against 10 men, including a defence of whom one was Danny Rose(!) and a guy who'd never played with them in a serious match before, you didn't manage to score.

I'll freely admit, West Ham deservedly beat Spurs 3 times last season, but I was pleased with how Spurs defended - it's not exactly been their strong point in the past year. :)

I thought you would have had more reason to worry, we're a shoo-in for that all important "3rd team in London" title again this year. :)

Because a team playing with someone slightly better than Carlton Cole (as much as I love the guy) as a lone striker and Kevin Nolan as a slow attacking midfielder up front will more than likely convert a few of the chances we had.

Apart from the last 3 minutes and first 10 minutes. I'd say West Ham dominated the game, its just we had no one on the end of any of that play who can work a keeper particulary hard :P

I agree, but your team lacking attacking options hammered us last year, at least in two of the games anyway.

Downing was unlucky (rather than crap as usual) with his effort, that was some save by Lloris.

I hope that for once Spurs as a whole (board, players, fans) realise that top 6 is still a great place to be for a team with such a small ground to be.

Fascinated to see how West Ham get on in their new ground especially as Spurs should have one in 4 years or so too, all being well.

Then Spurs can justifiably say they're a big club if they're selling out 50,000 every week, unlike now when they are just trying to be.

This season will be OK I think, looking at how quickly they tried to pass it around on Saturday was pleasing, even if some of their passing was terrible at times!

But yes, West Ham didn't have the necessary, and against a Spurs defence (in the past year anyway) that's got to be worrying.

Utd 2nd highest net spend in Europe over past 5 windows.

Yep they have spent an awful lot of money on players they don't need. When you think in the last year they have spent 100m and still going nowhere fast, United's transfer policy is certainly suspect.

Although another stat I saw was United's net spend in the last 7 years is only 57m. Problem they have is no one is going to buy the likes of nani, Anderson, fellaini etc etc.
