If Adele does go on tour then I reckon there's a massive chance of her headlining, Emily really wants her, and she's a professional at getting big guns rolled out. Adele and Fleetwood Mac may be beige as fuck, but it's bloody big ticket, couple that with Radiohead and it'd be an absolute bumper year for Pyramid headliners, 2016 would be a nightmare for tickets.

And The Cure are an outstanding live act, anybody who thinks they wouldn't storm the Pyramid is the crazy.

More of an unlikely prediction but

Fri

Muse

Bjork

Damon Albarn

Lorde

George Ezra

Sat

Fleetwood Mac

Morissey

Jake Bugg

Alt - J

Haim

Sunday

Florence + The Machine

Noel Gallagher

Two door cinema club

Elton John

I'd say it's more likely that Bjork would headline Other subbed by Lorde on the Friday.

Agree I can't see HAIM or Bugg there next year.

I'm not sure Florence would be above Noel Gallagher, and Elton would be headlining if he appeared, so I'm not sure where that would leave the others.

Cant see Jake Bugg or HAIM being there next year myself, also cannot see Flo headlining.

Reckon Alt J would be higher or headline a stage, too big for John Peel??

Biffy Clyro

Florence and the Machine

Fleetwood Mac

NGHFB

Prince

Example

I'd say Alt-J are too big for John Peel, 3rd down on Pyramid or very high (subbing or headlining) Other stage.

Also, I'd be really surprised if Florence plays next year and doesn't headline.

I know they're massive and their last album huge pending their second album but are they really bigger then Kaiser Chiefs or MGMT who headlined the John Peel this year? Or Phoenix of last year? I'd say headlining John Peel tent would be perfect for them! Either that or high up on Pyramid or the Other as aforementioned!

they're far bigger imo. Kaisers have had a surge of popularity lately, yeah, but are still a shadow of what they once were size-wise. MGMT... no question that Alt-J are bigger. and Phoenix aren't that big in the UK. Alt-J will (unfortunately) be huge once the new album is released. i reckon Other sub. headlining seems like a push (although once the new album's out it may seem just right - just like many were predicting Mumfords to headline Other in 2013 before the new album was released)

I was thinking more along the lines of in the general public whose songs are better known. Some songs by MGMT & especially Kaiser Chiefs are much better known than Alt-J. I can see where you're coming from though, I suppose crowd wise & Glastonbury-wise Alt-J may be the biggest draw.

Didn't Alt J sub other last year, so would expect them to have a bigger slot next time.

I think Alt-J could be anywhere from 3rd/4th on the Pyramid to low on the Other depending on how their next album goes. I think mid pyramid is most likely though. Maybe even headlining somewhere like west holts if the album goes well? If the they go for less traditional acts again like this year that is.

I thought they were middle of the day until checking again and they were third down on Other. They'll likely be Pyramid sub/third or nothing at all then. Returning to Other would be a bit pointless and they'll be too big for anywhere else.

Unless they headline it of course.

Money? Doesn't want to do it? /crowd is to big etc. ...There are plenty of reasons..

Adele doesn't strike me as someone who's that arsed about money to be honest & if she's doing a big tour in big venues I think shed be able to hack the crowd at Glasto.

I take your point about not wanting to do it but I'm sure if you were asked to headline the Pyramid you'd be right up for it!

You are joking, right?

"I'm mortified to have to pay 50%! [While] I use the NHS, I can't use public transport any more. Trains are always late, most state schools are shit, and I've gotta give you, like, four million quid – are you having a laugh? When I got my tax bill in from [the album] 19, I was ready to go and buy a gun and randomly open fire."

I'll leave money to the others, but unless her show includes Wembley Stadium, its not like Glastonbury at all really. Its 20,000 vs. potentially 80,000 at the Pyramid!

Not saying she won't do it, just trying to say its not such a sure thing that if she tours she will do Glastonbury.

But if she wants big money, she needs to play the big gigs. And we now know she wants big money.

But she gets big money from album/single sales, so she doesn't really need to.

£8m on a good year through sales is the same as a few nights at Wembley Stadium is it not? Worth getting some sort of coaching to overcome the perceived stage fright.

not really no

Why does nobody do it then?

Didn't know that, I knew she was an overrated shouter, but this highlights what a selfish specimen she is.
