Be funny if it were Foo's, Flo and the Biff. I reckon 1/3 may be right. I'd prefer to see Flo simply as there ain't enough lasses as the last act on the main stage. And as they're unlikely to book PJ, Bush or Madge for that slot then she's as good as any.

The lack of headliner/lineup discussion is disappointing. Or are we all waiting till T-day has been and gone before we get carried away?

It is July 2014. The festival was just over a month ago. What do you expect?

Despite what Eavis and other people say, I doubt any of the headliners have been booked yet. Fleetwood Mac might have been but that is only if the rumours of them not being able to do this years fest are true.

Seen Muse 7 times (including on the Pyramid) so wouldnt bother.

Biffy - Seen them once (on the Pyramid) - Wish I hadn't.

Fleetwood Mac - Not a massive fan, they are ok, but I saw a recent ish performance online that wasn't great.

IF they were the headliners it would be a perfect year to mooch around and find something / someone new.

I know....(but then I wouldn't have minded seeing Ferry and would definitely have done so if he'd been on on the Sunday night - it seems he made a more-than-decent fist of it).

As usual I spent a lot of time there, but....I dunno....I seemed to see a lot of stuff that didn't quite live up to expectations.

Really enjoyed Deltron, Sun Ra Arkestra and Melt Yourself Down - and J5 and Tune-Yards were also pretty good.

Any other time I passed, though, there seemed to be some sort of synthetic blue-eyed soul / neo r'n'b on - The Stepkids, M&A, The Internet...and gave Disclosure a crack of the whip and wasn't really impressed with that, either.

Maybe I'm being too harsh...I dunno...

On my next visit to worthy farm, especially if those headliners discussed happen, I will almost certainly be spending much more time at the park. Easily my fave part of the festival, and with some orgasmic guesses on another thread, I'll barely get past the railway line

If they play next year I think they'd sub as I doubt they'd have a new album out by then, but I think they're only down as a strong rumour because they're playing Pilton Party next month.

Which would be ace, great for Foals and great to see Glastonbury taking a punt again instead of the mega stars/standard headliners.

Yeah I mentioned in the Pilton Party thread that Yannis said Bestival was the last show of the Holy Fire tour then then they were gonna have some time off and get writing the next album. Obviously things can change but another summer on the same album would be boring and kinda detrimental to them. Maybe the favour of them doing Pilton Party is to woo Eavis into having them headline as soon as the next album drops.

It seems such a long time since Holy Fire came out , i do think they need to come back to Glasto when they have a new album.

My thoughts are this too. They don't have that funky groove sound live that they do on a lot of their albums and they always seem slightly empty live I think, it's quite a shame. Maybe with a headlining slot though would bring a better live sound? Here's hoping, love the Foals and the way they've progressed as a band.

Foals headlining glastonbury next year seems far too soon, thought reading and Leeds would get them first.

Pyramid sub next year would be ace though, under Muse maybe?

I don't think they'll have an album ready by next summer but I could maybe see them releasing a new single next summer and subbing off the back of that and then releasing the album later in the year.
