Foo Fighters

Prince

Fleetwood Mac

Actually seems kind of likely to me. I think the Other will have a strong rock contingent this year, maybe 2 rock headliners and a dance?

Calvin Harris, SOAD, NIN?

can't see SOAD ever doing Glastonbury, and NIN have finished their Hestiation Marks tour so also seem unlikely. Calvin would be an incredibly popular Other headliner (and a big coupe considering he's headlined other festivals worldwide). would make a good counter act to any of the three headliners you mentioned (probably Fleetwood and Prince moreso)

Good point about NIN. As for SOAD, I dunno - It wasn't so long ago that people would have said the same thing about Metallica.

Metallica are THE metal band though. pioneers of the genre. SOAD don't really have the same kind of rep (and honestly, despite Metallica going down great, i don't think there'll be an influx in big heavy acts at the festival any time soon. think Metallica is where it'll start and end) if SOAD are still touring next year i can see them possibly headlining Sonisphere

Aren't most of the festivals Flashback Festival Somerset these days? :P

It's hardly as if they're all washed up, Fleetwood Mac and Prince's live shows were pretty well received in 2013/14. Foo Fighters I imagine are still good live, the only potential trouble from that point of view is AC/DC. But then again, it's AC/DC.

I don't see many new bands ready for the step up (I don't buy the idea that Foals are ready for 2015, anyway). Maybe someone like Biffy Clyro? But I can see them being around for 2016.

Yeah and it's crap. Doing 'well received' (by their longtime fans) shows recently doesn't negate the point that they've all been going for ages and have had their own career defining moments on the way that will make Glastonbury just another gig, denying today's bands their career defining moments.

yeah that would be an 2009 rivalling strong set of headliners that, but life just isn't that good so w'ell probably get The Vaccines getting the bump up

Don't even joke, its the stuff of nightmares!!!!

grandad rock is the future?

I'm depressed - and I'm someone that's rapidly heading towards grandad status. ;)

Only people who can afford to go to Festivals :P

Probably not this year, but are Depeche Mode big enough to headline? Just a thought I had when considering future lineups.

Don’t really have anything to add in terms of potential headliners (I still reckon Florence has a good shot, though), but I’m quite hoping the Pyramid/Other headliners are completely not to my tastes as the vibe is so much better around the Park/West Holts. The current rumours suit me quite well as the only one I’d consider seeing is Prince.

Disclosure have just finished their tour / going to write new album so i don't reckon they'll be up and running by next year. could possibly headline Other the following year though

Noel Gallagher is a sub act and only sub act in my eyes. can't picture him on Other

Faith No More would be awesome but, if they played, would probably get the same sub-treatment as Pixies and Smashing Pumpkins

as for the headliners... i don't see Black Sabbath doing it, and i really hope Florence doesn't do it

Can't see Sabbath at all just for the BBC demographic view they have to keep. I'd go for Foo Fighters / Stone Roses / Fleetwood Mac. When Biffy bring out a new album they will do it.

EDIT: Thats based on no information, i like it and its not unreasonable
