If it is really horrid, a shooting stick.

Otherwise a small folding stall will do you fine for sitting out of the mud.

A poncho or a waxed long duster, I prefer a broad brimmed hat over a hood

I prefer wellies, and 3/4 length shorts. Definitely pack talcum powder.

A wet festival is where a tent with a porch come in!

The c4 blog guy doesn't know the site is on comparatively high ground to the area that flooded and is currently cracked with dryness

I know it's a big taboo to wash your wellies under a tap - but I do it, and i'll tell you for why - there are different kinds of mud on site - the sloshy mud that is everywhere, and the deeper-lying sticky mud. the sticky mud takes a couple of hours to accumulate on yer boots, but when it does it weighs them down and hampers your movement. I wash it off, and put up with the dirty looks and tuts.
