If the mobile version of the site showed that it was the biggest tit end since Mike99 that had started the thread, I'd have taken it with an extremely big pinch of salt.

As it was, I made the mistake of mentioning it to my friend who was over from Germany for the festival and is a huge Coldplay fan. When I saw her face as the KC banner came down, I felt awful.

A lot of the crowd there clearly had no idea who it was going to be. Even the people I was with refused to believe it would be them as "It wouldn't make any sense for it to be them"...

Not a KC fan but thought they did a good job considering they weren't meant to have been doing it. Pity Lorde pulled out though - that would have been a great start (even better than Beady Eye *sniggers*)

yeah she posted on Twitter that she had to cancel her Glastonbury set so it was almost 100% opening the Other Stage. a real shame as that would've been great; Kaisers, not one little bit

So I don't think that slot was her.

I thought Coldplay's performance at Glastonbury this year was perfect. The fact that they were nowhere to be seen whatsoever was a real festival highlight for me.
