It doesn't rule out Glasto even if IOW have booked them. They let KOL do their owns shows MK and above in the country, so a sold out event would be plausible.

Giddings has now apparently said it's not Prince on Facebook. If it ain't Blur then we're in for somewhat of a surprise.

It's also been said that it's before Easter apparently. I wouldn't be surprised if both the IOW and Glasto have the same act, they will both going by that be announcing around the same time, although I'd imagine IOW to get in there 1st and have their moment. An announcement for IOW probably won't even tell us anything as they can't announce on an exclusive basis anyway.

I can't really see it being any one but Blur now. Anyone else big enough to headline touring has been ruled out in Kasabian, The Strokes and Macca. Duno who else it could be.

Neil may not have read that Prince has been ruled out. I haven't seen the facebook post but dental certainly wouldn't lie about it and it was posted by someone on the IOW Forum too. Someone called basecamp on there seems to have thought for a while that Blur is obvious.

The one thing with all the rumors hasn't been ruled out is Blur and I don't even know if there's been that much talk around Prince at IOW for Giddings to need to rule it out. I admit, someone did post on their forum that efestivals had him up as a rumor but then so was Blur and that wasn't killed off.

Festival is in 14 weeks, 3 months next week essentially. Bit late to announce a headliner when you aren't Glasto, don't you think?

Can't remember any other big festival leaving it so late for the past 5 years plus.

I presume you don't have any inside info? Part of this is why I think if those comments by Giddings meant anything, it relates possibly to you, as in them, can't have what they want without Glasto too. If this is the case, I reckon being good friends anyway, Damon has probably made Eavis aware very early that they would like to do Glasto. Those headers sound like they have been sorted for a fair while.
