The announcement is four weeks since Blur were announced for Hyde Park so I can imagine that being a clause in the contract. Even if it isn't one, I'd be sticking with Blur anyway.

IOW getting an announcement of a band in a week before the likely Glasto announcement. They don't have to be related but given what has been said, Giggings ain't likely to let a sold out fest announce them 1st is he and furthermore, Glasto won't care either way.

She has an announcement on the same day as the announcement or something but I think it's already been suggested it's a live DVD that's being 'announced'. I think it's nothing.

Pop, rock and oldies I think. It's a sponsor though and carries most/all their announcements so it doesn't have a bearing on the act.
