Ooh what tent did you get? I would like a new tent!

You hire a tipi, as in, you pay £900 odd for the whole one, not per person. So if you like, you could pay and have a tipi to yourself! That's how I understand it anyway...

They were £950 and sleep up to 6 - the reason I ask is that our frineds have said they want to stay in one!!!!!!!! That is all we know though - I have afeeling they sell out very fast!!

We got a Lichfield Brunswick Deluxe 4 man tent!! Had it recommended and then found it at World of Camping reduced down to £145 so bought one!! It will be delivered today. Supposedly a 5 minute erection one!!

They have been here for over a week - and you can't get anywhere near........ unless you happen to know Mary who owns Puzzlewood and Helen who manages it - oh wait, I do know them!!!!!!

Not allowed to even bring a camera in though and there is nothing to see except loads of very expensive film gear.

Nice of them to litter the place though!

Mention the litter to the Guardian, they'll love that one!!

Tis meantioned in their article - Mirror has photos alledgedly!

It all sounds much better than it really is - Puzzlewood is a private area and is closed to tourists while the filming goes on - so people on their hols cannot visit one of the top places to go........ so a potential income loss to other local businesses like cafes etc.

The owner gets a huge amount of cash from renting it to the studio - she lives in London so the local economy sees little or nothing.

The crews on the whole stay on site for security reasons etc so not alot spent locally.

Yes it does give the area lots of media attention but when folks come and visit in future they just go to Puzzlewood and give more money to the owner in London!!!!

We have had Doctor Who and Merlin filmed here for ages - and the local economy has sadly not seen much benefit :-( boo hiss!!!!

Now that is a good plan.

According to my horribly busy diary and Ali's committments we plan to use the tent in anger during w/c 4th August - we will know more closer depending on the weather forecast (sorry weather gods but I understand you are on holiday yourselves that week!!).

We have a camp site in mind

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=11166

As it is near the beach, restaurants, pub and lots of lovely hills etc for walking/trekking.

They say they tend to have room last minute too which is good.

But there may well be other times/places that are possible too!! What do you think????

Wales for the first camping trip, well I suppose it will test to see if the tent is waterproof :)

Runs away and hides.

Hence the waiting for the weather scientists bit LOL

We are very flexible with plans and as long as there is somewhere to wash and toilet and then places to trek in the day (wildlife is always a bonus) then we are happy!!!

I think you all just want to watch us putting the tent up for a giggle when it all goes wrong.

Looks a good site! I can't do weekdays as I have no holiday left! If you fancy a weekend in the New Forest though, towards the end of August, I *may* be able to come. Really can't promise anything though! Bit busy and skint!

I think the best bet is for you to all arrange something, and I'll come if I can, even if its just for 2 nights :)
