Looks a good site! I can't do weekdays as I have no holiday left! If you fancy a weekend in the New Forest though, towards the end of August, I *may* be able to come. Really can't promise anything though! Bit busy and skint!

I think the best bet is for you to all arrange something, and I'll come if I can, even if its just for 2 nights :)

The last weekend in August may be a good time as we have nothing at the moment subject to someone booking something and ruining that statement!!

I have map on desk open on southern bits of UK!!

For all outdoors types......

Did you know that it is a very large full moon on 10th August

and

The peak of the Perseid meteor shower from 10th to 12th August!!

A great time for clear skies please weather gods.

NFR NFC

Percy Showers! Hooray! I love watching this. Did you know also, the August full moon is the middle of three super moons. We went looking for the one at the weekend but it was too cloudy.

OOH I am camping at a wedding on 9/10, hopefully I will see some!

Re end of August, that may well be a plan ;)

Matty or anyone interested in camping in one totally gorgeous spot should check out Hawkshead in the Lake District. Its frickin gorgeous. Camped there many years ago and the wee village is picture postcard stuff.

Its really close to the Grizedale forest which is packed with sculptures dotted around. Totes amazing. We used to drive up just for the day to check out the Grizedale. Loves it.

I'm grand, just gearing up for another festival this weekend. Its the only one myself and Mr HMV do together. So really looking forward to hanging out with him. Hoping the weather gods will be good to us cos this mud business is getting rather tiresome. :D

Which festival are you at?

There will be some wet stuff about Friday and more into Saturday moving from the South upwards - could be some very heavy S***ms about!!!!

My feet have had enough of boots and gaiters and want to wear sandals!!

Going to Longitude this weekend so at least it doesn't involve camping. Weather is looking ok again compared to yesterday which was all about the thunderstorms. :O

Hi HMV, how are things going?

Things are ok, still looking for a job with not much success so far. But keeping optimistic.

Still on the festival wagon though. Got a stewarding job on Saturday so got to the Arctic Monkeys gig for free! Bonus. Wasn't really bothered about seeing them, wanted to see Royal Blood again who were supporting. So that was a big win!

Longitude this weekend and hoping to get to go to Knockanstockan the following week. Won't be eating but will be having some fun. Lol

Hows yerself Carol?

Hello HMV! That looks like a lovely campsite, bit of a trek for me though! ONe day I'll get that far up country!!

Its worth the trek cos you have the Grizedale on your doortstep as well. Its amazing, you go around the trail looking for sculpture and actually start seeing sculpture where there isn't any from the shapes of the wood that has fallen or rock formations. Awesome stuff.

I think we have all taken lots of sacrifices - so the weather gods owe us all this weekend.

They can r*** all over that London all they want.

Lucy, you do need to come to the Yorkshires or the Lake Districts one day you know.

Gods Own Country the North.

Which God's I ain't saying!
