Become Super(glue)girl ;-)
Hope it wasn't a sentimental sugar bowl?
Sending a commiseration handshake.

Thanks Carlos :)

Not sentimental, it was a gift at xmas from my sister to replace a similar cake sugar bowl, the lid of which I broke not long ago whilst suffering from a previous curse. So now I have two bowls with no lids!

It may be beyond glue but I'm going to give it a go. I have just found a replacement on a famous internet auction site so may just buy another one!

And then not go near it during The Curse.

Hello all

Page count ticking over nicely. With me being a bit crap as well.

Marmalade remaking today as didn't set yesterday, hot sugar and me probably not the best thing to do. Better book my place into A&E.

Looking forward to a great weekend this weekend, fun, beer, laughter and fantastic people = perfect.

My Mummy used to make marmalade when I was little! She still makes jam, it's lovely.

What are you up to this weekend? Sounds fun! I'm hoping to go to lunch with someone I sing with in choir but she didnt come this year. I am also hoping to do some more decluttering. Not very rock n roll but necessary!

I made some jam last year. It was delicious but time consuming. May give it another go soon.

On a similar topic, I did homemade ricotta recently, which I made into a cannelloni bake, and a spanakopita, both of which were very tasty. Just ordered a book on other cheeses you can make at home, so looking forward to trying them!

We had a bit of a drama this morning. Charlie (2 years 1 month), managed to climb out of his cot for the first time. We were just waking up and heard a thud, followed by a wail! No damage done, just made himself jump really, but I now need to convert the cot into a bed, and rearrange the whole room to make sure there's nothing dangerous within reach in case he gets up in the night. It's all fun here!

Glad he is alright, must of been a real worry when you heard the thud and wail.

He's always been a pretty tough little lad, so not surprised he coped well. He never makes too much fuss about bumps and falls. I must admit to being a little sad at yet another sign that he's growing up though!

Lucy, off visiting Matty this weekend, so will be fab.

First batch done and now set, the benefit of using a thermometer also no injuries so far.

It will indeed be fab :) Have fun!

As for jam, it can be long winded but it is so worth it. Mr G do give it another go! I have told Mum I will continue her jam making when she can't anymore, so no one in the family will be without preserves :)

This whole children business must be terrifying, it's bad enough when the Cat makes an odd noise in the night!!
