Did the original comeback even go well? I remember a uni mate getting a pair of tickets for 'Dog Man Star' in full at Brixton (?) for under £5

Has Alt-J been completely ruled out as Sunday other headliner? I know they were initially rumoured to be supporting the Sunday headliner but Emily Eavis is yet to release that.

would be a nice set of headliners. Rudimental to sub Deadmau5 and Ben Howard to sub Alt-J.

Neil seems to think chemical brothers are on the Sunday and somebody a couple of pages back said they'd heard ben Howard was the Saturday headliner (plus alt-j seem to be lumped together with the other pyramid acts on the poster)

Playing a lot of other festivals, played last year and they have new music out.

I thought they'd be JP headliners, but probably early Pyramid now yeah. The new album hasn't really made them any bigger than last year so if they played the Other they'd just be in the same slot, pointless.

They were third down last time, I'd say they're about the same size again now as in 2004. Seems about right to me, same sort of size as Interpol.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but in this weeks Timeout magazine there is a festival guide. On pages 10 and 11 of the guide there is an interview with Rudimental where they state they are headlining The Other stage this year.

Ah right. Someone posted 4/5 weeks ago saying they'd spoke to one of them and they said they were headlining the Friday night. Not sure where this leaves Deadmau5 and Ben Howard, as someone else heard that Ben Howard was headlining it on the Saturday but Deadmau5 seems too big to play anywhere else.

hmm interesting, i really can't see where else Deadmau5 would fit apart from Other headliner 'cause he's HUGE. he is headlining the NME tent at Reading/Leeds, though, which is obviously much smaller than Other, so perhaps he doesn't mind scaling down. JP headline? perhaps even WH? i dunno

edit: or maybe he's just subbing Rudimental and we got it the wrong way round. seems odd to me but not totally undoable i suppose

im guessing deadmau and rudimental have fairly different crords, so deadmau on JP for the dancey mad people, rudimental for the kids

somebody claimed to know that Ben Howard was taking this spot, although i guess we should know better than to believe random people making claims like this. certainly makes more sense for Howard to take that spot opposite Kanye though

I don't see how deadmau5 would be lower down than rudimental. Perhaps we're seeing a new 'not really a headliner but oh well' slot emerging on the other stage. Bugg last year and now Rudimental

Thing is, Deadmau5 and Kanye on the two big stages, given the Glastonbury demographic means there's going to be a lot of older people wandering around with fuck all to do. A half decent headliner in the Acoustic/Avalon will see that field fucking rammed.

i've no real interest in him but he definitely makes more sense as a sub than headliner (to me). but a rock / guitar act up against Kanye definitely makes more sense than Deadmau5

and yeah, this. i mean there's The Mothership Returns over at WH which the older demographic should love, but you always expect there to be a decent spit between the Pyramid and Other at least (especially when it comes to more dancey/pop stuff)
