Other Stage Headliners 2015

Yeah going by his tour dates for next year I'd say he's too big for it now, probably a high slot on Other.

Yeah Justice really need to return - I think their last uk show was Reading in 2012. A new album must be on the horizons surely and with that, hopefully a Glasto appearance!

Bestival 2012 was afterwards, and was fucking glorious. A pedantic +1 from me - though I think Other headliner might be a stretch far. Happy to be surprised/proven wrong though :-)

Justice were outstanding at Bestival. one of the best live shows i've ever been to (especially since all the drugs i took didn't work and they managed to blow me away despite the frustrating circumstances). don't see them being big enough for Other headline but stick 'em anywhere in a nighttimey slot and they'd kill it. they could work on any of the main stages really

Sigur Ros have wrapped up their current tour so probably won't be on the road come next year, and Placebo definitely aren't big enough anymore. third down on Other at best

Yeah they may need to take a bit of a leap when it comes to placing them as they're probably in between the level of JP headline and Other headline but they would absolutely need the dark. Maybe just playing last but not having the longest set like The xx or something.

Would work well but they deserver the extra time to They did similar for Reading 2012, where TDCC were technically "headliners" but Justice were on after.

Perhaps Placebo might play the JP? Although not that big anymore on current form I reckon a festival best of set would still be a hit. They have some very well known tunes.

Also I'd love to give a shout for Bjork, surely she's due although she can leave Biophilia behind if she comes

I think Placebo would play the same sort of slot that Interpol did, wherever it was that they played.

Awe. Getting massive urges to see some of the Seattle sound at Glasto. Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, you name the lot. I think the later two could play the Other stage however PJ would have to be on the Pyramid.

I'd especially love Soundgarden to do a similar slot to The Smashing Pumpkins, as they'd suit exceptionally well in that slot. Superunknown and Badmotorfinger are just simply epitomising albums of the grunge that I like, and Chris Cornell's voice wouldn't scare any indie fan (in other words they aren't that heavy)

Also in a similar kind of music could anyone see Jane's Addiction at Glasto? Absolutely adore Ritual de lo Habitual and Mountain Song! I know Dave said they were in hiatus in January but that implies that they will be back. Do you just think they'd suit more at Download though?

They played UK shows last month so the hiatus seems to be over. They are suited to Download but still a spot somewhere would be nice.

JP headline i reckon. don't think they're big enough / would be appreciated subbing Other (although if what i've heard is correct Perry threw a hissy fit at playing a tent, hence why they pulled out of Reading/Leeds, but that may have been bollocks)

I don't think JP Headline would be a suitable slot for Jane's Addiction. Seems like a too modern, too indie place for them to be considering their formation in 1985.

I'm thinking Other sub, although you'd feel that they'd need to be in the dark for their 'voodoo' and lights! Um I think popularity wise Other Sub would seem most appropriate; although (in my dream world) they'd sub the Pyramid on a rocky day. Sub a Pearl Jam-esque band.

It's a massive shame I wasn't born about 20 years earlier than I was. I'd have loved to have seen Soundgarden on their Superunknown tour and Pearl Jam touring Ten, let alone to see Nirvana.
