Why do people think Aphex Twin isnt big enough or right for The Other Stage? I'm surprised

there is no way he would do it. he has said in interviews recently he won't play large shows under his own name. complete non starter.

right now i would be putting all my money on the chemical brothers. when they tour, they play glastonbury. (although it is only one brother this time! granted, the better one)

As well as Sonar they have another confirmed live show at another european festival in June.

lets get this happening again, always fun and reliable to draw a crowd vs a big pyramid headliner.

the only thing that could stop it would be them taking big money for an exclusive performance on English / UK soil elsewhere and leaving glastonbury for 2016.

I'd hope there would be another big dance-y act to play that slot again before them, not sure who though it's not really my genre.

They've got a new album coming out next year I think but it'll be hard to top their 2011 set - from the bits I remember anyway!

Personally would like to see Justice play at Glastonbury. They're supposed to be working on their third album at the moment. If they play, surely they'd be in with a decent shout of headlining the Other.

does anyone really care about them anymore? their second album didn't do much.

that electro-house fad died pretty rapidly around 2008 too.

maybe up there on West Holts or something, far too long since they were relevant to be headlining the Other stage.

I do... but agree they may not really fill the other stage and I'd love west holts.

precisely.

they have been quiet for a very very long time and even their DJ sets are just one of them these days. OK maybe not too much to read into with that but they certainly aren't the draw they were and would need a cracking return to form to be considered for an outdoor set.

i love Justice but agree. if i were to place them anywhere it'd probably be JP headline - they just didn't keep up momentum enough to headline Other or West Holts, despite their live performance being mind blowingly good

Nah they could headline West Holts easily, not sure if they're the 'right fit' though. JP seems to small for them & the Other Stage too big, unless they have another successful album.

guess it would all hang on the next album, yeah. can't see them ever getting the hype they had with the first album though, and in my eyes they're considerably smaller than most of recent years West Holts headliners (as for 'right fit' i think Disclosure kind of nixed that this year - opening the door for more dance oriented headliners if needs be)

its never too soon, i wouldnt care if they were there every year!

they are the daddy of big live electronic shows at festivals. (on the assumption that daft punk will never tour again)

They are the daddies but you need to keep it fresh.

I'd be happy with them headlining John Peel to be honest - think it's a good stage for dance acts. The Phoenix set was brilliant in there in 2013!

I don't think West Holts is the right fit personally however there has been a change in vibe with some of the headliners in recent years. I think changing the name from Jazz World has given them a bit more freedom but you can probably trace it back to Black Eyed Peas in 2009.

The John Peel tent is an awful stage for anyone to play really! I really dislike it at times!

Justice need to fullfil their destiny of headlining the Other, it is prophesied by the sound checks!

I'd be happy with West Holts, but i think with strong rock/indie headliner under them, they could close the Other Stage.
