2 of the 4 festivals he has lined up are on the same day

Dunno if they've already been mentioned and no idea what they're up to. There hasn't been a Soulwaxmas for a few years now.

Didn't they do something at the fest this year? I would've thought Other would've been out of their reach.

Given that there has been at least one big American rock act for the last few years on other stage would it be possible for Pearl Jam to play it?

Doubt they'll play a festival and not headline. Faith No More probably most likely to take that role if anybody does, in my opinion.

they did their soundsystem this year and it was pretty awesome for the hour i was there. Bit more laid back than their usual mixes. According to o2 academy they are playing Glasgow and Leeds on Friday. I duno how they will manage playing in two countries at the same time.

I'm sure i read that they might be wrapping up the dj sets for a bit and making a new Soulwax album soon.

Dunno. I mean, if Faith No More were announced to headline DL this year I doubt there's have been too many people surprised, but Pixies/Smashing Pumpkins couldn't headline a festival of that size, I don't think. Although I guess the others are bigger in the mainstream.

Faith No More are nowhere near big enough to headline the Other stage.

Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins and RATM would all be bigger and more well-known.

if Faith No More played i'd fully expect them to sub Other like Pumpkins and Pixies did (no doubt below somebody absolutely shocking like Alt pissing J). they may not be quite as big or have quite the same crossover appeal but sticking them any lower would be criminal. or maybe it just won't happen

yeah Brad Wilk pretty much said that their most recent show in 2011 was probably their last. i can't see them ever playing together again

Well they apparently used to meet up once a year to look over and usually reject all the live show offers but according to the Hellfest guy (I refer to this guy every day now) they didn't even respond to his offer for next year so I can't see much future there, not for a while anyway.

was thinking about this - the other headliner is Belle & Sebastian. are Flaming Lips and B&S really on the same level? if so i'd say Flaming Lips star has fallen somewhat. not sure where i'd place them on the lineup now - definitely not headlining Other

I can't see the Flaming Lips headlining the Other Stage again, they seem to have had a pretty big decline in popularity over the past couple of years.

At Bestival 2013 their crowd was pretty much none existent, you could walk straight through to the front barrier.
