Hey!

So I have a few questions, I have googled them and finding very little help..or I may be typing in the wrong things.

Please may some kind, experienced person give some advice?

1. My friend and I need to take a tent, 2 blow up materesses, 2 sleeping bags (we're now thinking blankets as they may take up less space) and 2 camping chairs, what is the best way to get all of these things there without rocking up with a girly suitcase looking like fools??

2. I would love to take my iphone just because this can cut out on the camera, but is it a good idea or should I take one of my old phones from 12 years ago which still works perfectly?

3. How do we keep valuables safe ? ...i.e. passports, money, any phones or cameras. I've heard about lockers but can you get them on the day of arrival?

4. Is it best to take food or buy food there? (we are travelling from jersey to machester) Also Alcohol, is there a limit on how much you can bring in?

5. Is it a good idea to take a small across the body handbag? Mines the size of my hand and a little bit so it is tiny.

6. Potential stupid question!! We have gone for the hospitality tickets and I do believe that these include showers...do we take towels?

This is my first time to any big festival so I don't want to be freaking out or not knowing what to do/expect with the packing side of things.

Please can anyone help out with these questions at all?? Any help at all will be awesome!! :)

Hiya

1. I'm assuming your on about when you get to creamfields so You can get a festi-barrow which is like a big wheel barrow to lug all your stuff. Or bring your own heavy duty fishing trolley with straps. And bring sleeping bags much better than blankets.

2. Most people will have their iPhones plus there are charge points in hospitality (costs)

3. Keep it on you, don't bring anything that you really want to keep. Or lockers again in hospitality

4. Bring snacks, there are food stalls there but you might want some brekkie bars or something. Alcohol there is a limit that you can take which is 24 cans each and 1 litre of spirits each. I would get it from a supermarket when you get to Manchester or near by.

5. The girlfriend says this is definitely a winner

6. Yes bring towels if you plan on using the showers. Microfibre towels are good as they are small and absorb well. Alternately baby wipes are great for freshening up as the showers can get v busy first thing.

Wellies always wellies.

Just pack what you think you'll need

Hi, you may have got all the answers you need but thought i might add a thing or two.

I would defiantly bring sleeping bags, over blankets. My best advice for carrying it all would be to get a 50/60L travel backpack (rather than a suitcase), once the bag is full just hang things off the straps, you mention you are in hospitality, the trek to the campsite is so so so long! Backpack on the back and then as mentioned above rent a festi-barrow for all your other bits and you should be ok.

Defo bring your wellies, even if sunshine is forecast as some of the main walkways are muddy no matter what - just from volume of use. Also round by the toilets / showers always seems wet and muddy – not pleasant. I pack a pair of plimsolls / ankle wellies for when its sunny or the morning toilet run when i can’t be bothered with the wellies.

I would defo bring some food – crisps / sweets / cereal bars, things that are light and you’re not fussed about getting squashed. Good for the morning hangover in the tent. All the other food you can get there.

Across the body handbag is fab, easy to keep hold of when the crowd gets going. I’m going for a bumbag this year.

All i would say is don’t bring anything you don’t want to lose / spoil.  We lost our phones (own fault for being so drunk) the first year we went, lesson learnt.

Hope this helps.

Music!........

Iif your getting there early morning bringing some sort of speaker to blast some tunes is a good tip, theres a bit of a wait until the arena opens so nothings stopping you gettin the party started before it actually does.

obviosuly this is only a preference, you have pretty much all the neccesities above ^^^
