Sounds a lot more grand than it really is Shaun , I sent them a PM on FB and I was on when they answered , we had a short conversation , it could easily have been their dog walker to be honest

The Cure 100% won't happen, Noah and the Whale are on hiatus so they won't play, Vampire Weekend don't seem to be touring this album anymore so I doubt they'll be playing.

Johnny Marr and The Fratellis could play I guess, based on the fact that they're both playing a few shows this summer.

Has anyone had problems with hotel check in times and arriving in Benicassim? I'm flying to Barcelona and then getting a coach which is meant to arrive at 12.30. Seems some of the hotels (tramontana/Garomar) have a 12pm cut-off for checking in. It's been hard to organise and this is the final hurdle. Any ideas?

If I didn't stay in Benicassim itself I'm looking at Castellon. With the festival finishing in early hours would it be hard to get back if staying in Castellon? I've heard taxis aren't great.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You shouldn't have any trouble getting back to Castellon.

I'm staying out of Beni again this year, taxis are fine just be prepared to queue. Most I queued last year was an hour and a half but had some friends that left at the very end one night end up queueing for 4 hours!

By the time they got back we were out of bed and playing in the pool.

Am I the only one thinking that there's still one more big(-ish) act to be announced?

I say this mainly because, on the FIB wwebsite, there's a sideshow of the big acts and it goes: PrProdigy, Florence and then there's a gap (link to location info), then port, noel, Jamie.

Surely they're going to shove an act in there?

I'm really hoping there is because if one more big announcement is made (let's say blur) that'd would turn this line up pretty decent and along side all this trenchtown (anyone know much about this?) and that bearded kitten thing I think it could be one of the best festivals around (as a whole festival package rather than just big name bands)

trenchtown is at Electric Picnic every year. it is an area of the festival to do with rasta music. non stop Bob Marley tbh
