Surely Los Planetas won't headline, have benicassim ever had a spanish speaking headliner? also how could they move Portishead from sub to headline if they've not released anything since 2008.

does this make acts such as Morrisey or the Strokes an impossibilty now?

Rest assured there will be more headliners. I'm not too sure if Moz will be well enough, but I'd love it if he was announced. The Strokes are headlining Primavera, so yes, it's an impossibility that they will also play Benicassim.

are you sure?

multiple sources have put up that these are the four headliners :/

The Prodigy, Florence and the Machine, Portishead and Los Planetas are to headline the festival, which takes place in the Spanish town from the 16th to the 19th July 2015.

The Spanish festival have announced that The Prodigy, Florence And The Machine, Portishead and home grown talent Los Planetas will be topping the bill.

I love Portishead and was well pleased they played at Beni in 2011, but the vast majority of the crowd just talked their way through it and drifted off, so I'm surprised they've been booked so high up on the bill again. It's also worth remembering that Geoff Barrow went off on a massive rant about how shit he thought European 'corporate' festivals were and how he'd absolutely hated playing them, only did it for the money etc (Beni included, you'd assume), which left a bit of a sour taste.... Odd choice.

I would not rest too assured. Last year Tinnie Tempah was in the fine print until about 3 weeks before the festival and was bumped up to be headline, along with Paolo. From what they have already put up, you're likely to see 5 or 6 more decent bands and the rest will be fillers.

I would say that they way they have the website set up with the four bands Prodigy, Florence, Portishead and Los Planetas having their own little slideshow that does not include the other bands named, that they are your 4. At least there is 4 with at least 2 subs..

What you can rest assured about though is that you will enjoy it regardless of who plays. Bands that you don't expect to be much can be amazing. Last year everyone that saw Of Montreal, agreed that they were a highlight. It's a brilliant festival even with a shit line-up. The weather the beach and the mountains are the perfect setting and the festival itself is a perfect set up too. Don't let the line up bother you too much. if there are at lest 3 or four bands that you like you will love it. Just try not to look at the line-ups of other festivals..

I believe there are 3 HEADLINERS CONFIRMED.

Los Planetas and Noel Gallagher are not considered headliners.

The Prodigy, Florence and the Machine and Portishead are, check out the artist write ups at: http://fiberfib.com/en/artistas.php

Noel Gallagher: Expect to hear these and a few Oasis classics when Noel plays the Main stage at FIB 2015.

Los Planetas: one we are very much looking forward to seeing where they belong, at the Main stage.

Nothing to say they are headliners whereas the others are.

This means there may be one more headliner to be annouced perhaps when the ticket prices go up.

Don't trust ticket selling sites, They will claim headliners have been annouced just to get attention of a wider variety of people.

For everyone talking about last year, Tinie tempah and Paulo Nuttini were never annouced as headliners.. they didn't consider anyone as headliners for those nights, if you check out the poster you will see they are not large. (which was a bit rubbish imo) but it seems like last year they used their budget to get a lot more sub headliners, they might do that again this year. Portishead are a bit of a weak choice of headliner (not to say I don't like them but they aren't headline material imo) so maybe that frees up some budget for a big name?

Unlikely dude, considering they got away with bumping Tinie last year, even if it was not official, they're extremely unlikely to book someone bigger than NG+HFB... Especially considering that also got away with Paolo too.

Look out for A-Phonics, they played on the beach stage at the rock this town thing and absolutely killed it. I think they definitely deserve a start on one of the stages at the festival. Parrots were great too.

As I mentioned before though, it's not like UK festivals where you're standing out of the rain all day missing the small bands and just waiting for the big acts. With average acts like James, Travis and Kodaline playing incredible sets and and spending the days floating around on a Lilo drinking Estrella Damm beers that cost about a euro, life is sweet.

I had grand expectations last year that the festival would have Mozz and the Strokes or someone like that but that's not what the festival is anymore. They had some money problems, some new owners came in dramatically downsized the line the line-up and it still worked our really well for them, I'm sure they wont be throwing huge money at at any big artists when they know they don't have to.

No one was more critical about last years line-up than me, but I fucking loved it. I went to Oxegen in 2010 which had just about the best line-up I had ever seen, but I enjoyed Beni more.

Hi guys, it's gonna be my first time at FIB and I am wondering if you know any places that I could stay instead of camp. I know about rentaIia, but theres not a lot of options.. I was camping few times at others festivals but it wasn't spain so I am afraid its gonna be too hot for me :D Maybe any other cities close to Benicassim ? Any ideas? is there any FIB bus or something like that to the other cities? Is it prohibited to bring your own alcohol to the camp ?
Thanks in advance for your answers !! :)

Does anyone know what is the easiest way to get to Benicassim/Oropesa from Madrid? I've checked renfe page for trains and for now there is only 2 trains a day, and I am wondering if at the festival time they add some more trains or something like that. :) when next announcements ? :D I can't wait !
