To think I started to have faith in the album with The Handler and Reapers and paid for the preorder!

Definitely the worst album yet. Didn't mind about half of The Globalist and the intro to Aftermath but apart from that absolute gash.

The Globalist is weird. I don't the mind the first bit, the heavy bit is good but doesn't really go anywhere and there's no need for the piano bit at the end. It doesn't really flow at all, just sounds like 3 separate songs stuck together.

I really liked the First bit and the heavy bit but I agree it just doesn't flow. Especially going from that heavy section to Explorers part 2.

Yeah it's the one I had high hopes for (well as much as you can hope for from a Muse song nowadays) but it just seems like they've forced 3 ideas together and are pretending it's a song.

I was expecting worse tbh, it's not that bad, Revolt is like big freeze 2.0, The Globalist was a let down and Drones is just ridiculous. Other than that the albums alright

And yeah Revolt is hilariously bad. Corny inspirational shite. Though I will say that I enjoyed the first half of the album more together than I enjoyed the individual tracks.

EDIT: Oh fucking hell he uses that line multiple times as well. Aftermath is the worst thing I have ever heard what the hell.

Think it could have been a lot worse and on the whole I quite like the album.

Yes Revolt and Aftermath are up their with some of Muse's worst, but I quite like Defector and the first two thirds of Globalist are quite strong imo not as good as Citizen Erased and oh yeah the last third of the song is just complete shite. Has the potential to be a great song live too I think.

Haven't heard Drones but hearing average to poor reviews of that one so may not bother even giving it a listen.

But taking into account The Handler and Reaper which are some of the better moments of the album and the rest which maintain decency then Drones is better than what I expected.

Might change after a few more listens tho
