5co77ie
It's strange got asked to update listings and make the announcement. Why bother when they've still got tickets to sell.http://www.efestivals.co.uk/news/14/141217d.shtml
LondonTom
http://www.efestivals.co.uk/news/14/141217d.shtml Good on them/the promoter! Doesn't solve all the problems but every little helps against the tout scum! Still at 80 quid a ticket, I am giving it a miss
russycarps
if they were serious about eliminating touts they'd just put photos on the tickets. Radiohead did that at their last gig and ticket prices were still lower than these pricks....
FuzzyDunlop
There wasn't a photo on my ticket for radiohead in manchester. The lead booker just needed to bring photo id.

That wasn't Russy getting a Radiohead fact wrong was it?!

dentalplan
Standing for Radiohead was over £70 as well - and that's an arena show rather than a stadium - so hardly commendable on the prices either.
chrislfc
Can't see them playing with no set at all. Will have at least a couple of inflatables and cannons Well if it's good enough for Dolly...........
parsonjack
Interstingly it looks as though multiple purchases are being cancelled and put back on sale in a bid to stop secondary ticketing Hundreds for all UK dates on Stubhub already.... TomViolence
Hundreds for all UK dates on Stubhub already.... They won't even get their money back until July. These touts must be rolling in it. C*nts
BonScott
Second Madrid date added, again 2 days after the first one It's over folks in terms of AC/DC doing Glasto next year, can't see why they would make an exception with Glasto when their entire tour has no back to backs Edited December 18, 2014 by BonScott
CaledonianGonzo
Unless you look at it from the opposite perspective - they might make an exception purely to do Glasto.
BonScott
Unless you look at it from the opposite perspective - they might make an exception purely to do Glasto. Depends how much they want/need Glasto If they really wanted or needed it I would imagine they would have done Glasto by now given they have been together 40 years
A Guy Called Matt
The fat lady is sitting down with no immediate thoughts of singing. and I still have my clutching straws and my 4th July tickets :-)
CaledonianGonzo
Depends how much they want/need Glasto Yup. If they really wanted or needed it I would imagine they would have done Glasto by now given they have been together 40 years Not necessarily. Things have changed in the live music landscape, both from the perspective of the mega touring-acts and from that of who festivals like Glasto consider to be suitable headliners. You wouldn't have seen the Stones there back in 1989.

ghostdancer1
if they wanted to do Glastonbury, they would have built that into their touring plans and played the gigs around it a day earlier/later to make a gap, or just moved the Berlin or Glasgow gig completely... CaledonianGonzo
All true - though who knows what other logistical factors are at play behind the scenes. Maybe someone just doesn't want to do a gig on their birthday. I dunno.
The Nal
Not necessarily. Things have changed in the live music landscape, both from the perspective of the mega touring-acts and from that of who festivals like Glasto consider to be suitable headliners. You wouldn't have seen the Stones there back in 1989. Which is a shame as we may have got to see One Hit To the Body live. Or on a really lucky night, Dirty Work or Had It With You. Or Sleep Tonight. Although I'm not sure they ever played that.
CaledonianGonzo
The encore on the Spring 1987 tour of Silk Road 'Stan countries featured an encore of Back to Zero and the 13 minute long Arthur Baker remix of Too Much Blood.
