AC/DC Says Lars

Keeping a positive outlook, it just depends whether they're willing to make an exception - which isn't entirely impossible.

Management: "Brian - do you want to do consecutive nights on this tour?"

Brian: "Not really. Got to rest my throat."

Management: "Fair enough, but got Michael Eavis on the phone here. Would you think about doing it to headline Glastonbury?"

Brian: "Hmmmmmm...dunno.....let me think abut it."

*picks up phone to his cortisone injection supplier*

I reckon Brian and the other Brits in the band could well be key. Would mean more to them headlining the festival.

Like that Keith Richards quote about the band having to play Glastonbury or they'd have been a big hole in the bands ticks off the list. Not that The Stones did it on a pittance of course!

Yeah but unless he was joking Brian did not seem over enthusiastic in the interview with Chris Evans, didn't he say something like "Is there any rock n roll there? I thought it was hipsters in wellies" or words to that effect

Yes he did say something like that - but is was how he was saying it that mattered more.

That said I have now laid my clutching straws to rest.

Still no logical reason why they aren't playing Scotland on the Saturday night.

there probably is, but we're not seeing it. But, for examples...

There's standardly 2 days between any shows that are located close together. There may be need of a greater gap for a greater physical distance.

Some of the band members have family in the UK. Given that they're visiting a country where family live, perhaps they want a day or two for those family.

The possibilities are endless.

Nope, i don't think they will.

History seems to show that they're insistent on what they want to do without much reference to others wants, and that an easy tour schedule is a part of what they insist on.

Anything is possible, but some outcomes seem far more likely than others.

I seem to remember Mick Jaggers kids pestered him to play Glastonbury - don't some of his kids come every year ?

Angus has not got any kids , Beano will have very little say and the rest of the band none in these sort of matters.

You have to want to play and I just do not think they do

AC/DC have announced that Festivalpark Stenehei, Dessel in Germany date on 6 July 2015

It looks like the locations posted on their forums pages ago (page 7) were right - leading me to think there's the London date and the Glasgow date but not a Somerset one.

Take this the right way.

Judging by the actual lack of rumours on here, and very short list of bands who are actually likely to headline. It's nearly feburary and we're struggling to think of an actual decent trio.

Could ACDC still be likely? There's been media talk since the end of the last festival, even though they hate consecutive shows is there a chance they may give an exception for glastonbury?

Every EU festival seems to be announcing the same bands, were either gonna end up with noel gallagher headlining... Or there might have been some truth in the AC/DC rumour in the first place?

I understand they are a special case, but if this was say... Muse's tour dates.. We'd probably all be pretty sure it was them. But of course because they are AC/DC There's surely a lingering question of whether their tour dates make them likely or less likely...

I just wonder if it's gonna turn out just like the stones in 2013. At one point we were pretty sure it was not gonna happen, but then suddenly everything flipped and they were they suddenly became likely

Imo, to all the "AC/DC FOR 15" members... Hope is not gone, I reckon there's still a chance!
