Agree with you both. I hate Trump and all he stands for (did I really need to say that?) & would prefer a puddle of toxic slime to be getting an invite to a State Visit, but I understand why it was done and it (sort of ) appears to have worked. Depending how things work out over the next few days/weeks/months, it might well be appropriate to rescind it (or just forget it was ever a thing.
I also agree that Starmer has finally come into his own after being pretty useless since he assumed "power".
I like The 1975 and seen them five times and think they are very good but best live act, really? Granted they are good but they would struggle to make my top 100.
If you think they are that good, I would suggest you go to more gigs as there are so many better acts. The 1975 is a lowish bench mark to be judging best live act from.
Although, I do agree they are going to be much better then people who have never seen them live before expect. However, if someone does not like indie or pop, they will not enjoy them full stop.
