".....Please find attached a photo of Noel Thompson’s fleet prior to take over by East Yorkshire, buses are left to right: BT 9809, Dennis 2 1/2 ton 29 seats, (EY 53); BT 8981 Leyland A13, Leyland 26 seats (EY 55); BT 8777, Leyland A13, 26 seats (EY 54); the other three are unidentified, but appear to be a Vulcan (possibly BT 7852 EY 52?), and a Ford (possibly BT 8549) plus another totally unidentified.
I would be pleased if anyone could provide positive id’s for these. With regard to Matt’s comment: I took the numbers for 54 and 55 (BT 8981 & BT 8777 respectively) from the PSV Circle publication PB17 (page 7)......."

I know you guys love buses but I'm like race cars & military aviation way more, so I'm flying the flag.

Fly whichever flag floats your boat, it's the taking part that counts :)

I can't say I'm fantastically enamoured with military hardwear. When searching I often come across such machinery which is meant to kill, and feel a little nauseated. I live near where they take the casualties of this country's conflicts. The military helecopters delivering soldiers to the QE Hospital fly over my house. I have also had many an occassion to go in to the QE Hospital where I've seen far too many young lads with their limbs blown off.

bennyboi - this is not personal to you it's just that I'd be a c**t not to speak my mind in this instance.

I respect you opinion, but you need to realise with out aircraft with the ability to kill there would be a lot more last in that hospital & a lot more dead.

Lots of things that kill are interesting as an engineering exercise hence the huge amount of TV programs, magazines, museums & shows around the world dedicated to the stuff. It's part of our history.
