I don't think Pixies sold out last year and they're probably a bigger draw than Ride.

Might have to get a weekend ticket for Field Day. Never been before but that's a pretty good line up

I agree, shame I have 3 a levels on the monday after it. Will be a struggle to convince the rents to let me go for either of the days (probably fair enough though...)

Didn't sell out last year - but be warned that tickets are £10/20 more on the gate. I've been the past 2 years (and going again on the Sunday), always a good lineup, really enjoyed it. Yes there are a lot of "trendy" East London types but I found the atmosphere and set-up all fine (you can find some horror stories of experiences in earlier years). Things that did offend me were (1) OTT drug/booze searches on the gates, took about half an hour to get through a 10 yard queue (I may have been unlucky with my choice of gate); (2) OTT price of booze inside - £5 a pint of Meantime, £6 for some other craft beers.

Using this thread, and them playing Isle of Wight near G time, to wax lyrical about First Aid Kits performance last night. Absolutely stunning they were. Didn't go in with any expectations but I was blown away by them. The ease in which they slip into harmonies together is joyful.

I'd be happy to see them on the Park at sunset.

They'd probably headline the Park if they played there wouldn't they? Though if they headlined on Sunday it would be roughly sunset. That actually seems a plausible prospect and I don't know why it hasn't been mentioned a bit more.

I think they could even be slightly bigger than the park now. They really took off after the album and they are playing some decent sized venues on their tour, the park at sunset on Sunday would undoubtably be best for them but whether it's where they will play I wouldn't be sure

highish Other stage seems about right then (if they're to play). wouldn't be quite as great as sunset on the Park, but i saw them open the main stage at Bestival and they can definitely nail bigger stages (unfortunately missed them on the Pyramid as there was no way i was getting up that early)

I saw them in Edinburgh and - great as they were - it does feel like their days playing places like The Park are now behind them.

I walked straight in when I got there on the Pixies day! (wasn't that late but bands had started already.). I did think at the same that the queueing lanes seemed a bit over the top for what was a few people wondering through

On the booze front, at least its decent beer rather than £4.50 for pint of Tuborg piss water

Tori Amos (or rather her team) tweeted that she has several special European dates to announce for the Summer. She's started with two Norway dates on June 12th & 13th. Could be a possible Acoustic Headliner?

Paloma Faith has also announced a forest tour. She has dates on the Fri and Sun but the Saturday is currently free.

Oh right. I saw they did places like Manchester's Albert Hall and Colston Hall in Bristol and stuff and put them at about Park header. Hadn't realised there was another tour, and such a big one. They were only lunchtime on Pyramid last year too.

It was Hozier - Royal blood on the JP last year. Could do the same on the other? Sunday I'd guess.

Surprisingly he's bigger in the US than the UK, it normally happens the other way when a UK artist gets big.
