Until last year awakenings was a one day saturday only event. So the day off didn't matter.

Carl Cox not being there would make me suspect he would be at glastonbury.

I don't know, I think they might be slightly too big. Then again, they'll probably take a similar spot on the lineup to The 1975 last year and Alt-J the year before so who knows.

The demand for their tour at the back end of last year was massive. John Peel was rammed last year for them. Williams green when not much else musicwise is happening will be hammered.

The 1975 was packed and the crowd came out quite a way but it wasn't dangerous. It'd probably be a similar situation for Royal Blood.

If Royal Blood were to play Williams Green in a properly secret set, it'd be ok, but if it was leaked, like most 'secret' sets are, it'd be dangerous. That area would be bloody difficult to cordon off to stop more people pressing in.

They headlined Pyramid in 2000 didn't they? and Coachella a few years ago. Just wonder if they'll be pushed up after performing on Other for a couple of times.

they headlined the Pyramid when they were at their peak - think Other headliner is the only place they could / would ever realistically play these days. not sure if they'll be booked so soon again though after seemingly being the standby Other headliner for a good few year - 2004, 2007, 2011 and 2015 might seem a bit much

i don't think the lack of a member will matter to many people - it's not like it'll make a single bit of difference to their live show; there'll just be one guy up there instead of two. the visual aspect is still a huge part of their show so i can't see them doing anything other than a night time / stage headliner slot
