01seb
One of 2013's highlights. I remember hearing bullshit spouted on Radio 1 on the way home about how Mumford and Sons were that year's definitive Glastonbury moment, had to pity those poor fucks who had to settle for Mumford when they could have seen Amanda Palmer crowd surfing around the Other field with a big long rainbow snaking behind her, or her belting out Ukulele Anthem, or everybody singing along to Common People. That was a glorious and vivid set, and it was only about 1pm on the Friday. Definitely agree with this, she was awesome. And The Hives played just before her too. Was a great start to the music on Friday.

eFestivals
Amanda Palmer coming to the UK in June so has to be a good chance.is she paying her musicians on this tour, or keeping all the dosh for herself like last time?
kingcrawler
Not that they were in any way likely but The Libertines are playing Russia on the 27th June.
gizmoman
is she paying her musicians on this tour, or keeping all the dosh for herself like last time? She paid all the musicians last time (after the criticism), do you pay everyone who gives you information/help to run this site? You should read her book, it might give you an insight into how she actually operates rather than from the media who just want a good story. thewayiam
Not that they were in any way likely but The Libertines are playing Russia on the 27th June. That in no way rules them out. If the gig was Friday it'd rule out an appearance I think. Edited March 12, 2015 by thewayiam

So EODTM can only do Saturday I think, bit of a forward then backs schedule they'd have to do for a small payout. Marmozets I thought would be back but early NME I would of thought? CHRLY
Marmozets would be delightful.

Ah yes so it is, confusing as EOTD website doesn't have the actual date they are doing it, just the fest start. I guess Belgium to Glasto then Sweden and Denmark isn't that unlikely. Given that Foo's are Friday as well, an earlier Other Stage slot is possible. They have a 4 day stint earlier in the month which send them back from Austria to Holland then Download, I guess it is all paydays though. CaledonianGonzo
These tour dates are fairly circumstantial: http://www.leoandanto.com/ I saw these lads tonight and it'll be Saws o'clock in Avalon when they hit the stage.
Wherethewildthingsare
Van Morrison is touring April To July, in Blenheim Palace June 25th, could he be a West Holts headliner or a mid pyramid slot? OBface
Kaytranada playing at Open'er in Poland early July, hoping it makes him more likely for Glastonbury.

thewayiam
***Sounds Mardy klaxon * * * The Eagles are touring. Nice little gap open there for IOW/Glasto appearances.
CaledonianGonzo
Of all the possible options still left, I'd certainly find that one the most hilarious.
thewayiam
Of all the possible options still left, I'd certainly find that one the most hilarious.[/quote It's certainly far from concrete, but there is a reason for that gap in your dates. You'd put money on IOW getting them over Glasto, purely due to fee's and they'd defo come into 'big' bracket!
FakeEmpire
Suede have announced a gig on Thursday 25th June at De La War Pavilion; Glasto warm up then?
