Email not working

Hi, I'm not sure if anyone knows about this or if it's just me being affected, but I haven't been able to see my emails on my festivals email account for a couple of days now. I can log on, but when I go to mail I get the error message :

A fatal error has occurred Mail server denied authentication. Details have been logged for the administrator.

Help!!

Can I have one too please?

Seeing the above I went to Efests email and tried to log in. I entered my discussion board name and password and the log in form said incorrectly entered. Does that mean that it's not set up or that I have to set it up separately to my forum chat log in?

It's something I offered long ago, before the days of free email addies at hotmail and gmail. I've not sold one in years, and i'm not sure if any of the pages that existed for it still exist.

They were originally offered at £10 a year, for 10Mb of space, i remember that much. Tho I never got around to ever re-charging the users, so they've had it for a tenner forever. That space is now much too small, and the money wasn't worth it.

So .... feel free to make me an offer of what you'd be happy to pay, and how much space you'd want for the mailbox - tho please bear in mind i don't have bottomless disk space I can offer.

And bear in mind that I have to set these up manually, occasionally provide support as and when required, and put work into this mail system when upgrading servers so that no mail is lost (it's only used by those who paid for it).

Ooh sorry Neil if I've started a torrent of people wanting festivals emails!!

I might be able to stop that though - as my email is really playing up now - I've been aware for a while that I wasn't gettting quite a lot of emails that I know have been sent - it's recently got even worse - I don't even get them from sites like ebay, amazon or facebook! I have tried and tried to work out why, googled it so many times and get nowhere :(

Ive been using another email address for months now but still love my festivals address! So, very reluctantly, I'm about to completely stop using it - but I just wanted to check one last time - is this just me? Anyone else having problems (or am I the only one still using a festivals address?!)

On the plus side, at least I'll stop badgering Neil about email issues!

I don't use a festivals.co.uk email addy, tho I use email that goes thru the same (physical) server and as far as i'm aware I don't lose any mail - certainly amazon and facebook mails get thru OK.

I've just checked the server settings and I can see your inbox was full, so I suspect that's the reason why you've lost mail - it will bounce back to the sender with a 'mailbox full' msg.

I've just increased your inbox size which will probably make the issue go away for a while, but only till your mailbox is full again. You'll need to properly manage the space.

Very odd! I have sent several test messages over the last few weeks (and friends have done the same) but no mailbox full messages came back. Yesterday I logged on but had no emails; today there were about 20! Maybe they have come through since you've increased my mailbox size (thanks) but there are still loads of messages that are lost somewhere in the ether! I always purge my deleted messages so I'm not sure why my inbox was so full!

It started when I noticed that I wasn't getting messages from my kids school - I still don't get those, despite checking all my filters / blacklist stuff etc. Something is going wrong somewhere!

So, thanks for my festivals email, and thanks Neil for your support over the years, but I'm going to have to stop using this as my main email address as it's just too unreliable :(
