Well after reading the efests interview I'm going for

Portishead - special act they've been after.

B&S - headlined before

XX - played latitude before and moving up the line up.

I would say it's a lot of wishful thinking as well.

Mogwai played last year second stage. Anthony @ Johnson's aren't really big enough anymore. Just leaves Snow Patrol.

There is a mighty fine selection of indie bands in there!

Larrikin Love!!! Mevlin needs to get them to reform

I'd also take: Lemonheads, Mystery Jets!!, Pigeon Detectives!!, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Howling Bells...please!

Patti Smith is around, so seems quite obvious (unless she's exclusive to field day?). I am Kloot could be likely to?

Paolo Nutini could be the repeat headliner?

Other bands I like a couple of songs from, not sure how active they are though: Rumble Strips, Noisettes!, Pippettes(Didn't one of them get in a really bad car accident actually?), Peter, Bjorn and John, Guillemots.

I really like that 2006 lineup!

I think Howling Bells and Guillemots are the only ones of those I'd even consider watching now.

Sadly I think Alt-J are likely, but I reckon the Portishead/Nick Cave/B&S shouts aren't pure optimism.

Now, having done all that, I've crossed out the ones who we can pretty much rule out. The National are rumoured on this website, although they've hammered the festival circuit the last two summers, The Good, The Bad and The Queen have been spoken about doing something together, but please god NO MORE ALBARN.

Does it categorically state a headliner will be returning? And does a previous headliner have to return as a headliner?

My guess for the headliners would probably be:

Alt-J, Paolo Nutini, Morrissey

Possible Portishead instead of Morrissey as 'the act they've been after for a while'. As thetime said I can't see it being Bjork because she'll be recording the new album.
