Just announced for Arcadia Sunday TBC:

Gah!

That would have been fucking perfect, and finally resolved my disappointment at not getting to Arcadia this year.

Sadly, I will be in the Glade for the majestic Plaid 0015-0130h before joining Mez at the Temple.

Oh well, you can't be everywhere, can you?!

Just fine tuning the BenFinder® and my Friday night looks amazing...

Mano Le Tough Beat Hotel (briefly!)
Paranoid London Spaceport
My Nu Leng Heaven
Seth B2B Martinez Bros. LBHQ

Fuckanory, that's good.

That's a decent Friday line up! Have a good one, I made some last minute changes to my naughty time shenanigans resulting in attending the Prince party on Friday then various venues in SE - see you on the other side! :)

Heading off on the long trip down from Glasgow shortly, hope you all have a fucking wonderful time, and stay safe one and all

If you see a short Scottish chap with long hair or a wolly hat with a Norwegian flag on it, don't hesitate to say hello. I may pop along to the efests meet, or cast my eye over this thread if my mind allows me to see if there's any plans to meet up

God speed

Just home from Sonar, Mano Le Tough was absolutely incredible! As was Black Madonna, Hawtin, James Blake (much dancier than anticipated) Martinez Brothers and the Bookashade live show was off the scale! Hope all you people heading to the festival have an incredible time - dance like loons for me in my absence!

Glad you had a good time Matt. Starting to think I should have picked a sunny one this year!

Wishing everyone here an amazing festival. Will no doubt be dancing near you at some point and that's a nice thought :)

I am absolutely fucking burst, what a very very good time had. The mud was nothing more than a mere hinderance.

Friday night I ended up at Arcadia for Daniel Avery/Alan Fitzpatrick/Carl Cox. Fucking magic, especially Daniel Avery - the crowd wasn't so mobbed so really had space to seriously enjoy myself. Artwork in London Underground was such a dance session it was unbelievable, finishing the night with Joy Orbison b2b Fold, was pretty wet by then, but still a good time.

Saturday night I saw some fantastically disco mayhem from Four Tet and Floating Points and then one of my friends got a bit freaky so we headed for an earlyish night.

Finally Sunday, after the best headline performance I've ever seen from LCD Soundsystem, I battled my way through the crushes at the entrance of the SE corner to be absolutely taken aback by Midland and Palms Trax - definitely my favourite set of the weekend

Now, much rest is needed this week

i did what i do every other year and got so fucked for the headliners that by the time i made it to the SE corner some hours later i couldn't be arsed going to see anybody specific so just ended up going to different areas for a bit, having a dance and then wandering off to the next bit. unfortunately some of my friends just didn't seem to enjoy that part of the site so weren't up for staying long. finally got to see something at Arcadia (Sunday night after LCD - couldn't tell you who it was) so that was nice, and caught a bit of Four Tet's Morning View set in between Car Seat Headrest and Cat's Eyes

I spent more time in the beat hotel this weekend than I have at all past festivals. Had such an incredible time. I'm usually with people who don't fancy the ol' beats but this year there were a few of us and it was soooooo good. The combination of mud and sheer number of people in the  SE corner really kept me away from it this year. Ventured to Seth Troxler at LBHQ but didn't hang around for long, just didn't find it that pleasant. Beat Hotel just didn't fail me this year. Also had a wondrous morning wake up to Four Tet up at Stonebridge (can anyone tell me the song he finished with, after Love Cry..?)

Aside from the late night stuff, I thoroughly enjoyed Vessels in the glade (thanks Ben I think). Floating Points was wonderful, but only after I moved back around half way through and the sound improved drastically so I could actually hear the instruments over the bass. Sad I missed enjoying the start due to that.

Overall my favourite festival so far for this side of the musical spectrum.

And of course LCD was quite simply mind blowing, if I can count them in this genre a bit. Best show I have ever seen.

Electronic wise:.

Thursday - I spent plenty of the tine in the spaceport throughout the day. Back 2 Basics was excellent whenever I popped in.

Friday - Underworld followed by Carl cox at Arcadia. Both smashed it. Coxy lobbed old skool into it and was banging, best Ive seen him for ages. Underworld blew me away. Set of the weekend - Top stuff. Top atmosphere, I was shrooming my knackers off which helped

Saturday - Caught most of an act called Vessels in the glade. Really good. Live techno / trancey / electronica. Good band. Sacked the headliners off to go to Bez's acid bus. Mike Pickering and 808 State were good. Carl Cox was ok, but not great. Not a patch on the night before

Saw nothing electronic on Sunday
