What lesser known DJs are you guys hoping to see there? Lesser known meaning not huge top of the bill DJs like Jon Hopkins, Four Tet etc...

Any of Frits Wentink, Brame & Hamo, Denis Sulta, Adesse Versions, Laurence Guy, Loz Goddard, DJ Steaw, Palms Trax, Max graef, Fouk, Borrowed Identity would be good for me. Sets from bigger DJs such as Jeremy Underground, Gerd Janson, Hunee, Soichi Terada, Job Jobse would make my weekend!

I salute anyone who can keep it together enough to attend a meet up after midnight. I struggle to even remember that there are DJs/acts on that I like after that time.

I prefer it that way to be honest.  Spent enough time checking timetables during the day.  It's not as if Andrew Weatherall is likely to play Loaded.

Oh definitely. Although I have missed acts in the day time because I've forgot they were playing too.

I'm not sure who originated in, but I think it's Jeffie who likes to say "I have missed some of the finest acts in the world at Glastonbury Festival"  Haven't we all?

Sometimes when stood in front of the stage ;)

This thread needed a bump up, Space Ibiza closes in September.

Is anyone going to send the place off? I am debating going to Carl Cox closing on Sept 20th. Booked the time off work incase. £££ is the only worry.

A real shame, Ibiza has changed. Gone are the all day parties. Gone are the Sundays when you could get in for free before 10am and it shut 22 hours later.

Shame.

Hoping Carl Cox does glastonbury. Sunday night Arcadia would be lovely.

Last week in August for me, won't be missing Cox at Space for the world, it'll be a one last hurrah, and probably the last time I ever go to Ibiza as well

Same... as outlined below:

Went there in 2014, place had changed so much since the first time I went in 2005, and that was no doubt a huge departure from its heyday, everywhere is just cashing in now, weird vibe with just loads of weekend warriors - bottle service and shit deep house

My first was 2004, the last year of the old space terrace.

Ibiza was a destination people used to go to as they loved the music. I heard Oxia - Domino at amnesia in 2005. I next heard it 8 months later. That never happens now. "Big tunes" are on the radio within a week.

Doing Ibiza 2004 and 2005 each time followed by Leeds... fantastic times.

I remember Eric Morillo playing this in Pacha and it blowing my tiny little mind at the time.

back when Size records was ruling the clubs

Azuli did some crackers. This again is something that takes me back to Ibiza 04/05 every time I hear it.... another Azuli monster

Not been since 2013 but back at the turn of this century I would spend whole summers there. My, how they changed my mind and perspective on life. I miss the place like crazy. The people, the vibe, that distinctive smell as you step off the plane that makes you feel as though you're arriving home. Then there's the music. There are no words to describe how those summers helped me identify who I really was and gave me the confidence to step away from the mainstream corporate bollocks I had been raised to support. The Island has changed so much but I try and get back as much as I can. I think I'm past the club days now with a young family in tow, but we try and seek out those special hidden places where the energy is still as raw as it always was and let the kids absorb it.

I'm off to Berlin this weekend and I am just praying that I manage to get into Bargain on the Saturday, got a cracking line up, Paula Temple and Laurent Garner on at some stage

I have mates who have managed to get into Berghain. They loved it. Good luck!

Berlin is absolutely my favourite place. Reckon best chance of Berghain might be slightly later Sunday morning, always when I've had luck. Whatever you'll have a great time.

you're better off having a sleep and then rocking up on sunday afternoon and staying all sunday into the evening and night, unless someone you really want to see is on at the specific time. the line is atrocious around 4am time on a saturday into sunday. it could be a very long queue. plus garnier is likely to be on sunday evening i would say. keep a close eye on the timetable on friday when they put it up.

Ah nice, cheers for the heads up, we are flying back at about 9pm on the Sunday, I may well go back to the apartment and then head back bleary eyed in the morning/early afternoon for a look, depending in what state I'm in.

 Have a good one Matt
