Headliners 2015 - Wishes, rumours, my mate knows someone who knows someone that says...

Gah, i need to remind myself to stop getting hyped up with my predictions, with the clues we were given i was expecting:

The xx, Alt - J Co-headlining

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds

Bjork

What we will probably get:

White Lies

Paolo Nutini

Van Morrison

sigh

nah won't be as bad as that, I reckon it will be Paolo Nutini though.

I don't think it'll be White lies their last album tanked and been quiet since.

Van the Man is a possible but I don't reckon he quite fits the bill. I think he headlined Green Man either last year or the year before which is quite a bit smaller.

I think most of the past subs have been bigger than she is now but she'd only be one place lower. Doesn't really matter I don't think. Would be a much better booking headlining the 6music stage anyway.

Just to nitpick, she subbed Park Stage last year. :P

Sorry, I should have checked - she was really good though : )

agree I think 6music stage headliner feels right.

I thought you guys were talking about the cricketer Luke Wright. Thought it was strange.

Anyway, Portishead subbed by The Cribs, plus St. Vincent and someone else decent on the second stage opposite alt-J and Paolo, please. Reckon The Cribs would more likely be before alt-J, though. Like the TDCC/Editors top 2 last year.

Friday:

alt-J

The Cribs

Saturday:

Portishead

Sunday:

Paolo Nutini

Hozier

St. Vincent

Obelisk:

Alt-J ----------------Paulo Nutini ------------ Portishead

Seasick Steve ------- Hozier -------------------Ride

Sunday lunchtime: Patti Smith

6Music:

St Vincent-----------Todd Terje------TV On The Radio

Thurston Moore----FKA Twigs ----British Sea Power

How likely is that? (Apart from Todd Terje, wishlist, that. If I wish hard enough, it'll happen).

It would be nice to see Patti back a Latitude, she was at the first one and so there is a nice link there.

Just noticed Sharon Van Etten is TBC for Glasto, She feels like a great Latitude fit, would love to see her.

Also, just wondering about Beck, I know I've been convinced that Bjork would be the act that they have been trying to get for years, could it be Mr Hansen? Not seen if he is playing the UK this year.

Shame about St Vincent, I couldn't see where it was an exclusive but she would have been great at Latitude again. I definately prefered her live show for St Vincent over Strange Mercy.

I hadn't clocked that The National were playing the NOW festival in Cincinnati. I actually wonder if that does make them less likely or not. I thought that they had previously said that the O2 gig was the last gig for a while.

I don't think the National will play TBH but it would be nice. I think when they come back with a new album they will be looking at perhaps Reading stepping up like Arcade Fire did.

The National drew a tiny crowd at Reading in 2011 (I think?), still very good mind but definitely not a Reading band. Don't really think they'd fit as a headliner anywhere but Glastonbury to be honest, that they haven't already done.

Yeah, The National would be a terrible headliner for R&L now (not saying they're a bad band but in terms of sales and audience)
