luckysalt
I can confirm You Me At Six are the headliners I was told ages ago.
gary1979666
Hmmm bit of a let down. Any other acts in the pipeline?
luckysalt
You can't argue with the booking really, they're a massive booking for the festival. They're an arena band and taking up big slots at major festivals. I think Slam Dunk have done really well getting them and I respect You Me At Six for giving back to their routes and their fans with them playing, a lot of bands don't when they get bigger than where they came from. gary1979666
Completely get the booking, just not what I was wanting personally. Still not bad for me, as tend to watch a bit of the headliner, then head home a bit early via Hatfield Dominos!
justanothername
Is the thing about playing Take Off Your Colours in full true though? Would really consider going then if there was more I wanted to see
tyranicide
What capacities are the different sites?
Chavmeisterdeluxe
Quote from Josh in the new kerrang "we will be announcing some stuff in the next few months that old school fans will really enjoy". So I'd say the album thing could be spot on.
iPaulo xD
Just figured out Lower the Atlantis will be at Slam Dunk, No London, Midlands or Leeds on their April/May tour and they said "There is no London for a reason, patience!". Good Booking!
jump
Hatfield isn't London!
Chavmeisterdeluxe
It's close enough
iPaulo xD
Hatfield isn't London! I suppose its close enough, and it makes sense considering how extensive their tour is without a midlands, Leeds and London date
Lumz
With the Radio 1 exposure they're getting, would we expect LTA to sub You Me At Six then?
jump
It's close enough Not really, the trains getting back to London are a fucking pain.
huntyyy
Lower Than Atlantis are Sub Headlining Slam Dunk this year.
tyranicide
And I think NFG are headlining the second stage
Chavmeisterdeluxe
Not really, the trains getting back to London are a fucking pain. Yeah but close enough for them not to want their sub headliner to play in London a month before the festival.
atomised
I think it's one of those places just close enough for bands to consider it a London date on a tour
jump
Yeah but close enough for them not to want their sub headliner to play in London a month before the festival. I don't care, if it was actually in London it would make the fest more tempting for my mates as every year they remember the hassle involved with getting to and from the place. lightning1000
Book a b&b?
iPaulo xD
Would they really clash YMA6 with NFG? that would create widespead moaning. Plus i thought the 2nd stage was always for the heavier bands? I would love to see letlive. on it this year!
Chavmeisterdeluxe
Well Less Than Jake headlined 2nd last year so no but the 3rd and 2nd are both big places (in Hatfield at least) and third is usually heavier.
luckysalt
It seems second stage is now the bigger ska/punk acts stage As main stage has become the general commercial acts stage. Third is the rock/metal/heavier stage and the others are mixed bags
Chavmeisterdeluxe
You Me At Six have "cool" news tomorrow and Movielife are announcing UK dates so possible first announcement tomorrow?
justanothername
You Me At Six have "cool" news tomorrow and Movielife are announcing UK dates so possible first announcement tomorrow? Wouldn't have Slam Dunk announced that they would be announcing it tomorrow? Anyway I thought that all Slam Dunk announcements were announced the same day Kerrang was released and in Kerrang first Edited January 18, 2015 by justanothername
Lumz
Vinnie tweeted that The Movielife aren't playing Slam Dunk...
