Hey, I'm 17 and going to Leeds for the first time, first time at any festival, im kind of just looking to party and have a good time and was wondering about any tips and tricks to help make it better, e.g. Where to camp, what sort of acts to see, where is best to pull, policy for alcohol, advice on drugs, etc. cheers

Alright then

1. I camp at Red as it isn't far from everything but not so close that it disrupts me when I'm tired and want to go to sleep. Best just checking a site map and see where you want to be

2. Whoever you like, you're not force to see anyone so just the music you like or who your mates want to see (but my mates don't want to see who I like so I tend to go by myself)

3.Don't really care about that sort of thing a few people go there for that so I've heard it is "easy"

4. Bringing it in is fine as when people are searched they're checking for illegal drugs. Just you won't be able to buy it on site (I'm just assuming you'll be 17 at the time, if not you can get an 18+ wristband) and you can't take it into the arena regardless of age (there are ways to smuggle it in)

5. Don't be stupid basically, just know how much you should take etc... (I didn't do them, not my thing. Don't care if other people do though)

6. Most importantly...don't be a dick/twat/arse face

I hope that helps and you've got plently of time to prepare for it anyway so you shouldn't even be concered by now but you'll have a great time

Leeds is a great festival but the only thing I would say is be cautious on the Sunday, last few times I have been there have been riots. Not a good vibe and hopefully it won't happen this year

Wow, this isn't true. Riots? I've saw one big fire on the Sunday last year (someone torched their own gazebo) and some people burn their own tents, that's about it and I've been going since 2009. There were riots when it was at Templenewsam back in 99/2000.

For someone going to first time it's probably best not to massively exaggerate the truth. It's like the whole "when you go to high school you get your head flushed down the toilet"
