First bands announced for Farmer Phil's Festival 2015. Dr Feelgood to close Friday night and Ferocious Dog on Saturday.

An absolutely delightful little festival which I only discovered last year. Highly recommended.

Is this festival as good as it looks?! Don't know anyone who has been. How many people etc? How many are around for camping from the Tuesday?

Went there last year for the first time and was probably my festival of the year. Only about 2,000 people but lots of pluses. The sound quality on the main stage was possibly better than any sound system I've heard. They've got a revolving main stage, constructed by Farmer Phil from an old rotary milking parlour. So while one band is on the other sets up behind. A quick swing of the stage and a very short interval between acts.

Only a handful of catering outlets but as good as the best you'll get at Glasto and sensible prices. All beers, mainly real ale, at just £3 a pint.

A big bonus is that you can stay on site for a week for the admission price, so you can use the site as a base to visit the area, do a bit of hill walking or whatever takes your fancy.

It was friendly and completely rip-off free. Mainly locals. Loads took their dogs. There must have been about 100 dogs and all really well behaved.

Good infrastructure, copes well with mud/bad weather

We have punters arriving from the Tuesday and staying all week. People come from all over to visit, many with families. Many return year after year.

Facilities (toilets, hot showers and food venders there all week too along with our bar being open). Our bar is staying the low price of £3 a pint for the 3rd year running and we have every intention of providing good value for money. Our venders know we want to keep costs to a minimum so keep their prices for food down too! We have booked more food traders this year, top class vegetarian/vegan food from the incredible "Nana's Kitchen" along with our favourites from all the years gone by.

There's additional things being added to our week long event this year. We've just booked The Exotic Zoo to visit on the Thursday before the festival starts (13th) and I know Scott and his team will keep people of all ages entertained with interesting facts about the wonderful animals he'll bring with him to visit. There'll be some great photo opportunities too!

There's also trips being planned taking punters into Bishops Castle for The a Three Tuns Brewery tour.

It truly is a great festival, all ages catered for.

Lots of activity on our facebook page, today I asked our regulars with children to write a few words after being asked several times if it's suitable for families and was overwhelmed by the response we got! I'm a bit of a believer in honest reviews. I welcome all feedback. What better way to learn than from those who've already lived it?!

In short terms, if you want good value for money, no added costs for camper vans/caravans, you like a camp fire, a BBQ with your friends, a bit of comfort (hot showers are always a winner!) and want to park your car with no extra cost next to your tent then you're on to a winner :)

It's a great line up so far...still more to announce too!

Bought my ticket today but the booking website fell over on me and I've not yet received confirmation. Will have to check my bank account to see if the money has gone.

Yippee. The money has been taken from my bank, so I assume they'll let me in.

Brilliant news! Thank you for your kind words.

We had a great festival meeting yesterday, lots of plans to brighten up the site. Phil and the lads have already been down on the site looking to start the prep.

Always great to hear such positive comments. Please do come and find one of the team at the bar in August x
