Hang on, so this is based on Melvin Benn saying that she's only doing one UK festival? That's pretty meaningless, isn't it?

And Emily Eavis says she's not headlining Glastonbury, ie the Pyramid Stage. Doesn't mean she's not headlining another stage there.

It just seems so unlikely that Bestival would get her back so soon; it's not as if she packed the field out last time, as The xx had immediately before her set.

Emily said in that same interview that she could be a headliner, but that she hasn't been booked to headline Glastonbury this year. that could well mean that she's subbing Glastonbury, but it'd be odd for a sub slot at Glastonbury to be her only UK festival date this year (and for Emily to bring up her headlining abilities out of nowhere - she wasn't asked about Flo, she brought her up)

it is odd but as Neil has said, what with the Canadian Bestival starting up, they need the UK one to have a good year, and having Flo as a UK festival exclusive is a good way to ensure that as it'd be a big pull for a lot of people

Why would Melvin Benn make it up? Because he was trying to wriggle out of a question about why there were so few female acts at his festivals.

That's just a guess, but the same "why hasn't she been announced yet" applies to anywhere there's any booked-but-not-yet-announced acts.

I slept through her entire set in 2012. I cant see it happening as a repeat headliner, but I also cant see Clean fucking Bandit not being on the line up of any Bestival related event ever. They'll probably headline next year

No way wood Flo headline then do a second stage appearance. She's surely on the up with a new album, not a "Razorlight"

I'm pretty sure Clean Bandit will be playing, especially given that there's a day "dedicated" (whatever that means) to electronic/classical crossover. But they won't be a main stage headliner in the same year that they're headlining Camp Bestival.
