also, i'm not sure if Brand New are the type of act that Bestival would really go for, but that gap in their tour dates is awfully intriguing. fingers crossed for that one!

god i really hope not - Ronson is thankfully already on the bill so that's him out! hoping Bestival returns to it's 2011/12 glories headliner wise. may not have always been great (Pendulum/Florence) but at least you couldn't argue that they were worthy headliners

BST are doing joint Kylie & Bestival tickets, which suggests to me that Kylie might be doing Bestival.

possibly, but as has been discussed before, what with both Chemical Brothers and Underworld already having prominent slots the lineup may look a bit overstuffed with 90's electronic acts if Leftfield also took a high slot

The Bestival Twitter account seemed to imply that the Friday headliner has already been announced with this tweet:

@Bestival: @DJDaviesUK still got Sunday headliner + lineups for Temple Island, The Amphitheatre, Invaders of the Future & Kalaiedoscope stage to come

They're yet to reply to those that have questioned it either.

Duran Duran would make the most sense I guess. It could just be that the Sunday headliner is being announced next hence the confusing tweet, but I wish they'd clarify.

I believe last year it didn't sell out until the last minute, hence the late decision to open car parks and campsites that they didn't expect to need.

I think in 2011 it sold out in late July though.

Last year, it seemed to suspiciously sell out, suddenly the week before didn't it?

2012 was quite late as well, as I had to sell my ticket that year and was worried I wouldn't get face value for it.

It really looked like last year hadn't sold well, with the map being smaller, Temple Island moved to the Magic Meadow, etc. But then on the day, all the car parks were open, all the campsites were open, and the festival certainly didn't seem any quieter. So I reckon there was a large last-minute rush of sales.

Could Bestival be announcing next Wednesday, I think Electric Picnic is announcing a headliner too on Wednesday, rumours going about that it might be either Blur or the Stone Roses, who are supposed to be announcing a tour soon too.
