IF Duran Duran have been bumped up to Friday headliner - and it's a big if (there's nothing to suggest that on the website, although Duran did recently announce that they'd been moved from Saturday to Friday... although I thought that they were originally announced for the Friday anyway)...

... but if that's the case, then Kylie isn't very likely for Sunday, surely? Duran Duran, The Chemical Brothers, Kylie? That doesn't look like a set of Bestival headliners to me.

The more I think about it the more I think it might be Disclosure. Holding out to be announced after their Wild Life shows. They're a realitely new, massive act, with a new album coming out later this year.

If they've booked Disclosure for the third year in a row after major slots the last two years (headlining Big Top & then subbing the main stage) I'll have lost all faith in RDB as a booker.

I saw this the other day after there had been discussion about the lack of Friday headliner...

...and as you can see Duran Duran are listed, with logo, between the two headliners. Might be worth keeping an eye on their promo and stuff to see if they are trying to ease Duran Duran into the headliners and then pretend as if it was always the plan.

Disclosure would be really odd (and shit) this year I think, I know he did it with Chic (which with the new album this year, makes less sense to have booked them last year) but you at least had 2nd of Outkast's only two UK dates and Foals to go with it.

This year potentially Duran Duran and a repeat headliner that I'd imagine most festival goers will have seen at some point and to have an act that subbed last year?!

That banner is making it look highly suspicious but surely they would be before Chem Bro's if they was the headliner, as they would be on the friday? Maybe its just cause they are announced.

I really wanted a good line up for Bestival this year I enjoyed it so much!

I think it's the fact they were bumped up as a headliner. It makes us feel like we've been cheated out of a better headliner...

Sorry to but in here, I haven't posted on these forums for years. But as a big Muse fan I have found this interview from a few days ago with Matt Bellamy at the snooker ha ha. He says at the end they will be playing Download and Bestival.

Can this be right? Muse don't seem like a Bestival band to me. I know they are an exclusive to Download, so maybe this is why they are holding off an announcment. Seems really random. The interview is from the 4 min mark.

Is there such thing as 'un-Bestival'? Either way Brand New usually do the broader kind of events having played Glastonbury before and they're at Primavera this year, and Gallows have done the main stage a couple of years back so I wouldn't anticipate a problem.

Bestival doesn't generally book what i'd call 'Reading and Leeds type acts'. obviously there are some exceptions but for the most part it holds true, which is why i had my doubts over Brand New playing. same reason why nobody predicted Muse to play (even before the Download 'exclusive' thing)

I see what you're saying but I disagree with it. They have a couple of hard rock/punk/metal acts every year. And when it's every year, it's no longer an exception!

Also, the reason nobody predicted Muse would be because they're a bigger headliner than any Bestival have had before and you'd probably get laughed at.

Well if Muse are the last Lollapalooza Berlin headliner (& let's be honest, they will be) then they can only be headlining Bestival on the Friday. Hopefully that means the Sunday headliner is still to come.
