Bestival 2015 headline guesses

it'd be pretty amazing if it was them, but i dunno... he seems to have now ruled it out pretty definitively, like replying to questions of 'when are you touring the UK?' with 'we're not doing Bestival, but we should be coming to the UK in 2016'. could be a 'we're not doing Bestival' with a wink, but i think it's more likely to be a 'i know i said we were, but we're not'

But was that before or after Glastonbury were able to actually keep a secret set relatively secret in regards to libs.

Maybe Muse are saying no to try and keep the surprise element. I've already ruled them out in my head, so would be amazed if it was them.

What about Disclosure? Friends of the festival and pretty big. I doubt it, but another one for the rumour mill

Libs thing was a bit different as it was a last minute thing, whereas this has been on the lineup since day one. could be them, but i doubt it. RDB was hinting ridiculously about it being them a few months ago. now, nothing.

 

as for Disclosure, it could be, but it could also be absolutely anybody else who is currently touring and not booked up that day. it's not like Glastonbury where it had to be an act 'big enough to fill the sub slot' - it could be anybody ranging from a huge stadium act to a mid-level act who's played every festival this year (probably somebody in between)

Da Bank has been known to tell porky pies before about confirmed acts so I still don't think Muse should be fully rules out, especially as they are doing a thing for Radio 1 in London (a live lounge) that weekend, so they are around 

 

I'm just glad we have the seret guest spot though - always adds to the fun - when Bestival was a bit smaller it was Madness 1 year and then the year after they had 2 The Specials and Grace Jones

Even without times I can work my weekend out roughly, my excitement has gone up tenfold Big top and Main are both so stacked on friday there's certain to be a few clashes but otherwise it doesn't look like there's potential for anything too gut wrenching for me. 

It's not even a 'very' special guest any more so I'm going to be keeping my expectations firmly low on that one.
