Yellow_Fellow
it's weird; Kanye is about as iconic of the current state of R&L as you can get, but no noise about him from the organisers.
tyranicide
I wouldn't be surprised if he got booked, but I'd definitely be at another stage
tyranicide
Next year I reckon Florence & The Machine Foo Fighters Red Hot Chili Peppers Less sure about the Chillies but they haven't played in a while, can't see both Foals and Flo playing and think Flo is more likely. Not too sure about Foos either, it depends if they try and do Glasto and some stadiums again or hit some of the august festivals instead. conroy17
I've heard Foos are definitely doing Glasto again next year. My prediction now stands as, The Strokes Muse Florence & The Machine

Ice Age Sugar
Would love to see Bloc Party headline the NME. Not sure about Foals as a headliner, could go either way. Seriously doubt Melvin would book RHCP, having spoken to him in person he's not keen on the band at all. Also thinks the Strokes should have packed it in a while ago. Muse? Potentially, think three headline sets in 10 years a is a bit much though. Foos? Glastonbury, only one album since last time, headlined a million times before etc. Kanye? Wouldn't be the same now he's done Glasto. Would cost far, far too much. KoL? Not really a Reading band anymore. Would be interesting though. Prodigy? Decent shout, this year would have been better. Radiohead? No reason why not, although they'll probably do Glasto with the new album. Black Keys? Can see them in 2017 definitely.
thewayiam
I've heard Foos are definitely doing Glasto again next year. My prediction now stands as, The Strokes Muse Florence & The Machine Foo's will do both. If The Libs can do both with all that time still to sell tickets when a LOT of people saw them then Foo's can. I imagine they'll be announced for Glasto very late. Edited June 29, 2015 by thewayiam
#FreeComTruise
Foals, Jay-Z, RHCP Christ knows Only band I'd be willing to put money on for next year is Foals, and even then I'd only stretch to a fiver
conroy17
Foo's will do both. If The Libs can do both with all that time still to sell tickets when a LOT of people saw them then Foo's can. I imagine they'll be announced for Glasto very late. The difference is Libs were never advertised as playing Glasto, so them playing there really had no effect on ticket sales for R&L or T for that matter. I can't see Foo's playing both happening. And there shouldn't be, the biggest waste of time/slot possible. I wouldn't be surprised if he got booked, but I'd definitely be at another stage He won't be booked, I'm almost sure of that. Quote me later by all means. The difference is Libs were never advertised as playing Glasto, so them playing there really had no effect on ticket sales for R&L or T for that matter. I can't see Foo's playing both happening. I don't see that as the issue, neither fest is sold out and they are a huge double site fest where one of their headers have knocked the talking on the head, gone out there to thousands of people, it was very busy and done a set only 20 mins short of a full headline set, everything you probably wanted to hear was in there. Finishing with Don't Look back Into The Sun at that time of night was class. Slipknot Enter Shikari Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls Brand New Of Mice & Men Sum 41 The Wonder Years Beartooth Moose Blood The Vaccines Slaves Florence and The Machine The 1975 Two Door Cinema Club The Wombats Of Monsters and Men Wolf Alice We Are The Ocean Circa Waves Turbowolf Deftones Neck Deep Foo Fighters Foals Catfish and The Bottlemen Don Broco Lower Than Atlantis Band Of Skulls PVRIS As It Is Black Peaks Major Lazer Crystal Castles Slipknot are done for two years. Andre91
Slipknot are done for two years. They won't be headlining. Corey said after their current touring cycle, which is still ongoing and I don't see any reason why it couldn't be continuing into 2016, so I'm not ruling them out yet. #FreeComTruise
Yeah, where has the Kanye beats women stuff come from? Genuinely curious because I've never heard that before. Only thing I can think of is the All of the Lights lyric "I slapped my girl, she called the feds", is there any basis to it?
mattl
At some point over the weekend on one of the stages (or many, I honestly can't remember) one of the major headliners for the next year is either paraded like a prized sow or mentioned to drum up pre-sales. In my personal experience, Blink-182 in 2010, Muse in 2011 & Foo Fighters in 2012. I think the drummer and/or bassist were talked about being near the stage the year before they headlined too. can't remember what year that was mind. All given out in "Hints" during the festival. Just keep an eye out and they are there.

mattl
what? OK, I just read that and realised that was a mess of a message. So, for the festivals I went to before this one here's how I kinda knew one of the headliners the year before. 2009 NME Stage on the Sunday: Lostprophets lead singer blurts out him and Travis Barker were hanging out back stage. I'm sure there were others but that's the one I remember. 2010: Tom Delonge, high as a fucking kite throughout the entire set and almost getting murdered by Mark on stage talks about hanging out with the the bassist of Muse all day and I think chilling with Gerard way. 2011: During Muse's set there was a mention of Dave Grohl and a zoom in on him and his drummer chilling out and watching the set. 2012: Greenday were there and announced their headlining set the next year. The Main headliners are signed a year in advance and normally leaked. Edited June 30, 2015 by mattl

Only thing I can think of is the All of the Lights lyric "I slapped my girl, she called the feds", is there any basis to it? So Eminem can't play as his lyrics wouldn't suit Glastonbury but Kanye can have lyrics like that and it's fine?, that's a little bit ridiculous! Does he actually sing them though or have it played over a back tracking and actual voice is too disturbing!
