Picking the R&L headliners was the trickiest out of all tbh. Think Foos will do Glasto and with Slipknot out of the running that 3rd headliner (After Foals/Flo) is no an obvious one imo, think it will be a heavier act to balance the other two but I have not evidence to support that idea and the possibilities do seem limited at this stage.

You're probably right about Swift at IOW, but I do think they'll go for a pop act along with Muse/Libs/Aerosmith.

I think Foo's will play both R&L and Glasto. They aren't going to do 3 years of touring the album and I think someone said that R&L doesn't don't book Foo's really on the back of a new album, rather 2nd round of them. They did hit everything before R&L for Wasting Light to be fair.

FOB, Imagine Dragons and Disclosure as subs is my shout. I'm going with The 1975, CATB and Enter Shikari as 3rd down. Catifsh could still be NME headers but I think they'll blow up even more past that, it was a big crowd for them on Other Stage at Glasto and that was in the rain. Shikari I'm saying main as even though they've not even sold out their London date yet I don't think a band with those dates will play the tent.

So I'm looking at something like:

Foo Fighters

FOB

Enter Shikari

Blur

Imagine Dragons

Catfish and the Bottlemen

?

Disclosure

The 1975

Would have to be a big un along with those two, surely? Muse/RHCP perhaps.

I think Foos will do R&L. Even if Glasto want them back, Reading's Dave's favourite festival and he could easily choose to do R&L instead.

I reckon Emily Eavis was telling the truth when she said it'll probably be a few years until they play Glastonbury, on their next album.

I don't see disclosure playing the main stage at reading, other than that it seems pretty possible, possibly with flowers heading that sunday.

I can't see any reason as to why Imagine Dragons would be booked to sub. They won't be releasing next year and besides that their 2nd album hasn't led to them to any further popularity.

FOB might be around for Aug 2016 but again I see no reason to bump them up to sub seeing as they played 3rd last time and all they've really done is shift audiences rather than further their popularity. I think there's more chance of The 1975 and Enter Shikari subbing rather than having ID & FOB back.

Blur + Foos + possibly Foals/Florence ain't a bad shout for headliners though.

That makes sense. The backlash to them not doing Glasto would be enormous but it would leave the door open for them to give booking Fletwood Mac another go, or maybe even have a third go at Prince.

You think there is more chance of Shikari subbing than ID or FOB? FOB 2nd album took off pretty well and to a Reading crowd the 2nd album would do well. Shikari can't even sell out 10k tickets in the capital lol. I don't think The 1975 will quite do enough. When Paramore did 2012 Exclusive there wasn't really any reason for it, the festival love bringing their favorites back.

I haven't gone for Flo as I'm not sure it'll be her. If they get her as well as them two I think it'll be the strongest 3 headliners than any festival has next year. Only Biffy, Foo's and FM at Glasto could rival it I think.

I'm not sure why you don't see it? It's one of the most predicted things on here. They are probably the next dance act for the next step if you like. Already done Ally Pally last year in March plus two nights at Manchester Apollo, two nights at Brixton before that and headlined 2nd stage at T last year along with WHs headliner. It's pretty much thought, even by me that they'll headline Other stage at Glasto with a new record as it won't bomb so there isn't a lot else R&L could give them.

Can't say I'm surprised browns gone, it seemed pretty empty last year. But we were right by green and it seemed reasonably full. There must have been a big fall in ticket demand this year

It's going to end up as I've said before, the demand won't be there anymore for Leeds to continue.

Shikari have reason to be bumped up; seeing as they played (technically)3rd down in 2014 and have had a considerable upgrade in the size of the venue they're playing.

They've also had to announce all of their support at the time of tickets going on sale for them and bands who can sub would have sold them out already no issue's. I don't know know why they chose them, it makes them look bigger than they are. The JP tent wasn't busy for them on Friday night at Glastonbury and it's not exactly like they'd share loads of fans with Florence or Rudimental.

Annoying that they've got rid of Yellow camp. Now all the dickheads who camped in there are gonna spill over into Blue & Red.

Didn't even realize Yellow had gone as well. Yeah that is going to be an issue, the edge of Red is okay where the hill is, had a good spot there last time but getting to the middle of Red where the main hill up between the parts with the DJ at the top is full of lary drunken twats. Do they not have White camp at Leeds now either which was opposite the arena over the field?, it was ideal. Close to toilets but not to close, the Village and bar right outside of it as well, had a good time there one Thursday afternoon in the heat. Blue is the one I always avoided and Orange Funfair side.

Theyve announced one support band, not all of them (pretty sure they'll have one or two more). Sure the tour hasn't sold out yet, but its still over 6 months away, theres a bunch of tours from other bands in the autumn that people are buying tickets for first (that's why I haven't got mine yet, but will definitely go to one date, maybe two). And they don't have a huge crossover with Florence and Rudimental fans, but its not like Glastonbury would be full of Shikari fans anyway (and they were playing again on Saturday), they're a much bigger deal to the r+l and download crowds.

I always avoid Blue because it's the busiest; therefore the muddiest; same with Orange Funfair just too busy. I've camped in the very middle of Red Camp the past two years though- right under the banner; been zero drunken twats either year. Although maybe I was one of them?

Viva Brother are back, so I mean, yeah.

False alarm I think.

Well, they're not playing The Bodega as the facebook suggests, anyway.

EDIT: There's a band called Brother & Bones touring in September and some chief mug has put the gigs into Bandsintown as Brother with Bones supporting.
