It has to be Leeds & Reading Fest itself that's put people off from attending. The two Foo Fighters Milton Keynes shows sell out in under an hour, i'm sure if Leeds & Reading Fest booked the same undercard (Iggy Pop) etc and had other stages on with music it wouldn't be sold out now even with the day tickets at a similar price now. So the question is what has gone wrong?

EDIT: Foo Fighters headlining the day.

The two Foo Fighters gigs haven't sold out. Saturday is but Sunday is still easy to get tickets for.

For example Libertines at Hyde Park was £55 w/o booking fees and Leeds is only £59 w/o booking fees this year. Yes the reunion hype has somewhat gone but they do have a new album out, surely popularity can't of dropped so much.

It hasn't but they don't have the Hype that they did, personally I think they'd have a bit more if they'd done the 3 Ally Pally dates 1st and then moved on to headline Hyde Park.

Decent band don't get me wrong but they aren't as big as the media tries to make them out to be. They aren't a top of the pile headline band IMO and I like them. Glasto was great and sub suited them perfectly, Ally Pally was also decent - venue not the best, but headline is a step too far I think.

The Black Keys and Frank Turner looks like quite a weak top two. Could see Frank Turner subbing someone bigger. Will The Black Keys still be about on the tour for this album though? They've been touring quite a while now.

The other days look realistic, which is a shame, since The 1975 subbing makes me want to heave.

They'll both be a big draw. It's no worse of a top two than Mumfords and Alt-J this year.

The Black Keys could have an album out sometime during 2016, if they don't take a year out of course.

I'd hate for The 1975 to sub as well but they're probably big enough now. If acts like Jake Bugg and BMTH can be bumped up to sub level it wouldn't be surprising.

A Day To Remember played fourth down last year, they're only going to keep moving up the lineups.

Yeah, I couldn't fit them in anywhere else. But then people have said the same about the likes of The Gaslight Anthem and Lostprophets in the past.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but got a survey through from Reading the other day. First page asked for

3 headliners - Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance and Green Day.

3 other acts - Weezer, Courteeners and FIDLAR.

2nd page asked gave a choice of headliners to which i picked the following 3

Rage Against The Machine, Pearl Jam and Slipknot in hope for heavier lineups as I don't think this page actually has reference to the actual bands suggested, more like the type of bands.

Mumford are way bigger than The Black Keys, have headliner Glasto/T and released new material since then.

Alt-J are headlining Latitude this year and played third from top at Glasto (they were probably down as subs until The Who and Weller came as a package), whilst Frank Turner played half way down the Other Stage.

The Black Keys/Frank Turner is nowhere near as big as Mumford/alt-J.

Don't kind yourself Will, of course they pissing weren't lol. R&L are getting royally shafted with that booking.
